Re: Croyle on the Vikings' Radar

Has anyone seen Alabama's offense? It wasn't exactly the most prolific. They only won games cause of their defense. I don't know about the rest of you but I for one am tired of having a top heavy offense or a top heavy defense. It's been that way since the late 80s. I would like a more balanced offense and defense tandum. 1998 was the only year where our defense and offense was any good. I really think the defense was even better than the stats of being #15 because there offense was so good and they went ahead early that all people could do was pass against them. In the first 3 quarters they were really in the top 5 in defense. They gave up alot of yards in the 4th quarters due to being in the game so long and tiring out. I know we won't have the offense we did then but something in the top 15 would be nice along with a defense in the top 10. I'd be happy. I don't think Croyle is that great. I know I compare him to Johnson but the difference at this point is experience which Johnson has.

Just cause someone has had goofy injuries before doesnt mean he will have them again. He looked good after the injury. I like him more than Jacobs at this stage, but it is a sin if we dont get cutler
How do you propose we get Cutler?
He is not going to be there when we pick........

So, asuming that we stay in the same spot, people have to look and pick from the QBs left in the draft.

    Whitehurst
    Croyle
    Jacobs
    McNeal
and about 10 other guys that a team might want to take a chance on???

    Please no Croyle.. PLEASE No

Since we need to develop a QB I think it would be smart to move up in the draft.. But we most likley won't..

    Vince>Cutler(REALLY close second)>Omar>Whitehurst>McNeal>Croyle
Leinart > any qb in the past 2 drafts.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Re: Croyle on the Vikings' Radar

Croyle's one saving grace might be that he will most likely have an entire year to build up. His biggest knock is that he's so fragile, he only weighs 200 lbs or thereabouts. But as a backup all year, he won't have to take much punishment and may have the ability to get 100% healthy and build up his resitance to injury and his muscle mass.

I would take Jacobs before Croyle. Why people are down on Young, I don't know. He will be a good QB in the right system.

I do not think that system is ours tho! He would not be a good fit for a WCO, if we were still running a stretch offense then I would say he would be a great fit! With the offense that the Raiders run he would be a perfect fit.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Re: Croyle on the Vikings' Radar

NFL draft countdown has us taking Croyle in the 3rd.

I don't know too much about some of the 2nd tier QBs, but this guy doesn't seem to be a pro caliber QB
