    If the Vikings weren't comfortable with Greenway starting, they would have spent $$ to keep Harris, rather than let him go without much of an offer.

    So, if they weren't willing to spend much to retain Harris, why spend much on this free agent?
    Behind Greenway, Leber and Henderson are LBs/STs Davis, Ciuriu and Farwell.

    The Pentagon of Power's Plan might be to draft a LB in rd 5 or 6 to add depth, and competition.
    If none are available at those slots, they may sign a free agent available after the draft reduces their value, or late in pre-season when a few teams cut vets who were replaced by rookies.
    When we stop to think about it, most folks behavior isn't perplexing after all !
