Conspiracy theories (how else can you explain signing Rosenfels?)

The best thing about signing Rosenfels is it officially signals the end of Childress' career in Minnesota. This move makes absolutely no sense... a 30 year old journeyman to compete with an underachieving division 2 bust is not going to make this offense any better.

TJ must be smacking his lips because he will smoke Rosenfels in training camp, give us another mediocre season and then choke at the business end of the season.

We are a QB away from going deep in the playoffs and Garcia was ripe for the picking, having already worked with Childress. So why would Childress bring in another mediocre QB instead of a potential franchise QB?

    *** Conspiracy theory ***
Childress is setting Rosenfels up for failure so he can continue with his pet project TJ. Think about it... if Childress hired a franchise QB it would be the end of TJ and admission that he was a bust. By hiring someone TJ has a realistic chance to beat out for the top job, it makes TJ look good and Childress will be praised for his ability to spot talent.

    *** Another conspiracy theory ***
Wilf is behind all these bonehead moves to antagonize the Minnesota fans to make it easier to relocate the team to LA. No self-respecting billionaire will approve of the boneheadedness Childress has produced. Why spend a gazillion on Berrian and Allen to long term deals and then bring in Rosenfels for just 2 years???? He's going to take them to LA!

"There are 3 things that sell in America:
    Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Reason why doing drugs before you post is a bad idea. I think that Chilly is actually a alien, sent here to destroy the Vikings franchise and move them to another planet.

Re: Conspiracy theories (how else can you explain signing Rosenfels?)

I'm usually in for a good conspiracy theory, but I don't think Rosenfels and Childress were moves made by Wilfco to lose the fans because he's spent so much money in Minnesota. He could have lost fan support with a lot less money.
HOWEVER, signing Rosenfels isn't really screaming "We want to win a championship."

Here's another conspiracy theory: we won't sign anyone who's relatively expensive, because Wilf has already decided to move and sell the team and hence will try to keep the expenses as low as possible.

Re: Conspiracy theories (how else can you explain signing Rosenfels?)

Here's a theory, Sage will win the starting job and do well for us, I have faith that he can help this team more than Tjack did. Its a cheap upgrade, look at the marker, 37+ y/o QBs who want 8+ mil a year, I'll pass, and so did the FO. I am not worried about the QB position any more, more worried about protecting him so he can make the pass, I would not mind taking a look at Housh either. I just hope we do a couple more things in FA.
