Re: On the Clock: Vikings
I have talked to a few guys around here who are really into the draft and they all say the same thing. (DE) Harvey. The majority of mock drafts i have looked at show him at 17 as well, which leads me to think that the'Vikes take an O-lineman. Weirder things have happened. Does anyone else think Childress will swap 1st rnd picks with Philly?

Do you want me to do 3? No problem. My issue is if our #1 isn't good enough to crack into a # 2 spot on atleast 10 teams in this league, it doesn't look good forso u think kevin walter is equal to bernie berian?
and with u stating that we dont have a good wr core, why not compare the top 3/4 WRs to some other teams 3/4 WRs, that would have been the smarter thing to do instead of comparing berian to everyone else
the rest of our WR corp. DOn't get me wrong I am excited that BB is a viking because it's a move in the right direction. However, i can see past the purple shades.

So is every quarterback, however when you're off your game as much as Grossman is, you're nothing close to a top 15 QB.Lets get things out..
Grossman is not as bad as people make him out to be.
He is a top 15 QB when he's on his game.
He is inconsitant when he doesn't have a run game. Guess what the bears decided to trade their best RB last year( thank you god). Grossman is better than TJ.
He wouldn't start for most teams in this league.
Grossman also has more experience.
Tarvaris will likely be better this year than Grossman was in his third year.
BB is faster.I think it's clear to say that BB is not better than Chris Henry. Chris is taller goes up and gets the ball and has better hands. BB may..keyword...may be faster.
BB can get the ball just fine:

BB is better now than Chris Henry.
Chris henry is one offense away from a yearlong suspension.
BB is better than vincent Jackson, Chambers, Branch, Burleson, Engram, Bennett, Holmes, Ward, Stallworth, CJ (at this point), Coles and Cotchery.Teams that our # 1 will be on the bench for
Chargers - Vincent and Chambers
Seahawks - Branch, Burlson, Engram
Rams - Holt, Bennett
Cardinals - Fits, Boldin
Steelers, Holmes, Ward
Bengels - Hous and CJ
Browns- Edwards and Stallworth
Lions - CJ and Williams
Greenbay - Driver and Ferge (I know wait and see what they do without Farve)
Pats - Moss and Walker
Jets - Coles and Cotch
Colts - Harrison and Wanyne
And if you don't think so, then you obviously don't watch these players play.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Colts, browns, Bengals, pats, cards, lions, packers
No's(and reasons)-
Chargers, chambers is over hyped, jackson is very nice, ill take wade over davis
texans-andre davis is very good, ill take rice and wade over walter and jones
steelers- they have a good wr core, but they dont have a big WR like Rice that can be a redzone threat
Jets- Coles is coming down on his career, cotchery had one good year, and smith is an ex qb
Hawks- None of those guys can stay healthy
skins- Moss is very nice, Randel el is a good 3rd guy (never shoulda left pitt) and thrash aka trash sucks
and the bows- TO is amazing, but after that they are extremely iffy, glenn played one game last year and is really old, and patty crayton choked last playoffs

1)Rex did nothing in his 3rd year(i think he was hurt) That's really easy to beat. Will TJ beat his 2008 numbers.

If we bringin a real QB, TJ will be benched by week 12
2) I don't know if BB is better. I think i would take a 6-4 speedster whit great hands over a 6 ft speedster with average hands any day of the week. This is exculding character of course.
3)BB isn't better than Chambers, I don't know why you think so but I won't convince you. He is possible better than vincent but I think they are extremely close. As far as he Hawk boys, I think he is exacly like them. all of them show flashes but the ball is spread around so much in that offense it's hard to say whose who. I gnored injuries because anyone can get injured any year.
Stallworth broke a G/ BB never has
Coles and Cotch - broke a G.
You think Holmes isn't better than BB. They are the same except holmes is faster.

No BB is # 27
Now in Minnesota, Berrian will be called on to be the No. 1 wideout. He had a very impressive 2007 season in Chicago, despite the Bears' questionable quarterback play. When he entered the league, Berrian was a one-trick pony who was only a vertical threat, but he has progressed nicely and now brings more to the table. However, he's really a better fit as a No. 2 option. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the new challenges with the Vikings.

what we are saying is our WR core is a good one
we have a speed/deep threat guy in bb
we have a tall red zone guy in rice
we have a possesion slot guy in wade
seems like a good 1-2-3 combo to me

BB- Has never broken a g in an offense that likes to throw the ball
Rice - What is rice? We don't know. He has shown glimers of greatness but disappears for games at a time.
Wade - An average WR. He's the defination of 3rd WR.
So in closing, We have a #1 who would be used strictly as a deep threat on Good offensive teams. We have a Rookie who played ok for a rookie but poorly for a a pro Wr last year and Wade a 3rd WR.
What's so good out our Core? Did I mention TJ is still Qbing this team not Farve or Manning?

ive never seen u say anything good about this team prolly besides AD
how was BB used as a deep thread on a good offensive team? the bears werent a good offensive team, and that team had three garbage qbs and no running game at all.
and with rice he looked good until he got dinged up at the end of the year
and yes bobby wade is an avg WR, BUT a good slot/possesion guy who can go across the middle and be tjacks security blanket
think positive for once man
