    CJ Impressed With Detroit

Even though the Lions have had a lot of controversy over drafting 3 straight WRs in the 1st round, it wouldn't be that far fetched to draft Johnson.
Just because Mike Williams didn't work out doesn't mean CJ won't.
Remember Mike Williams was out of football for a year prior to the draft.
Probably one of the reasons he's been a bust.
Roy Williams is turning out pretty well.
If Detroit gets CJ that would be a pretty potent duo so long as Kitna gets the protection to get them the ball.

    What does everyone else think?

He will still need someone who can get him the ball. Even if he has someone in Detroit that can get him the ball, that person will still need time to throw.

Detroit has too much need at QB.
    Kitna isn't the answer.

You think the Vikings fans are discontent right now... imagine being a Lions fans and watching your GM pick a WR every single year, and your offense never gets any better...
Part of me hopes they do just to see the reaction on the Lion's fans faces when it happens... ;D

Kitna had an OK season last year with the Lions.
    But it was just OK.
He still ended up with more INTs than TDs.
BTW, his percentage was 62.4, his passer rating was actually 79.9 last year.

Either way, Kitna didn't deliver the way I thought he would when he went to Detroit last year.
I really expected him to be closer to his 2003 form.

Yeah but he still did better than the Vikings QB's I woul of taken Kitna and those stats last year compaired to what we had. At least he had TD passes.

    Re: CJ Impressed With Detroit

If detroit like Johnson i say go and get him, the past should not be a factor in determining a teams future. True, they haven't exactly had a great response from their previously drafted WR's but still, CJ looks like a dead certain star. He wont be able to win the superbowl on his own, but if he has a few successful seasons, the lions might be able to hold a team to ransom for his skills, 2009 detroit may have 2 first round picks and a couple of thrid and fourth rounders to boot. "Lovely Jubbly!!"

Forthe vikings sake i hope they dont draft him, id hate to be facing him twice a year!Id love CJ to suit up in purple, but wouldnt give away a 2nd round pick for him, not with all the needs we have!
