ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
From ESPN
With the NFL not coming to an agreement, it's a fact that some nfl teams will be unloading talent via the salary cap cut!
Arizona Cardinals
Player Cap number 2006 savings
DE Calvin Pace $1,955,000 $425,000 (charge)

Clayton's analysis: Cap room isn't the reason Johnson is gone. He voided the final year of his contract, freeing up $1.5 million for the Ravens, who had more than $13 million of cap room before this transaction. Plus, the Ravens are going a different direction with their receivers.

Re: ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
I hope we don't get rid of Marcus Robinson. He seemed to do the right thing whenever they actually put him on the field.

Re: ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
Na'il Diggs is solid..
he flys around the field when he plays the Vikes..
Might be worth looking at.. He would be cheaper

Re: ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
How about Rodney Harrison. Does he play SS? Man we could really make our team this offseason....
Imagine
Bentley, Arrington/Peterson/Witherspoon, Archuleta/Harrison, Edge.. that would be amazing.

Re: ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
I'd rather get a young stud then get Harrison.. Although he is amazing it would be somewhat alot of money and he is up there in years.. I want a safety here for 5 plus years..
My ideal offseason..
Get Edge, Bentley, And maybe a LB depending on money
Draft a stud Safety in the first round like Ko Simpson or Bing.. And a fast LB in the 2nd like Hodge or Sims

Edge would be nice but I don't see it happening. My ideal and realistic offseason would be-
1. Sign Bentley
2. Sign Witherspoon or peterson
3. Sign A solid SS... Archuleta or Harrison
4. Draft Deangelo or maroney. Both good WCO fits.
5. Draft Sims or Jackson in the 2nd round.

And we were complaining about DC's $$$$$. How would you like to pay the 15 million dollar man.
LB Junior Seau $2,923,750 $2,100,000
Early Retirement
RB Priest Holmes $5,330,804 $992,412 (charge)
If he is only counting 992,412, how can you get rid of him. Wouldn't mind him on the Vikes for a year at a reduced amount from the 5 mil.
RB Duce Staley $4,371,250 $857,500
Can this guy suit up and does Childress have any ties to him???
