Maybe our medical staff has the special x-ray machine Will Smith sold in Pursuit of Happiness? ;D

just to help keep this thread going off track.

I don't know if I would solely credit our crack medical staff for the AD pick as much as our team need for AD vs the teams before us.
This may go against a lot of people's thoughts (both now and before we picked him).
But I really felt he was the one guy in last year's draft that could have the biggest impact on our team.

Our KAO was going no where fast and the best thing we could do was to ensure our strength (running) got even stronger, to give our fledgling receiving team time to develop.
AD also added star power and identity to our team to help out the fan base.
Nobody else available in this position had the ability to impact our year like AD.
Longer term its harder to say.

The only other guy in the draft I would have considered over AD for MN was CJ.
Both of those talents were off the charts.
CJ was gone, choice was simple.
That is a pretty reasonable explanation of what I think happened too. He was the kind of player that could change the whole team and let us build around. Now, if we do indeed build around him and use the plays and players that can support him we can have something special.

I am glad we aren't going to look for a high QB in the first round.
We have enough problems the way it is with problems off the field.

As we approach the two-week warning prior to the 2008 NFL Draft, we know the following things about the Vikings' quarterback situation.....

The picks in the first two rounds should be used to address the Vikings' deficiencies at DE, TE, and/or the secondary.
Doesn't he know we have Shank and don't feature the TE in passing much because of our blocking woes?
First two rounds, TE, seems a little crazy to me.
    Maybe the 3rd though

Like his take on the QB situation though.
