4.21 40 yard dash? gol 'darnit! That's fast no matter who you are.

Martz obviously saw something in him, and I trust Martz's thought process when it comes to offense.

Childress said he was going to look for a young guy with potential, and that's exactly what Curtis is.

    40 times of 4.21, 4.43, 4.36, 4.39. and 4.34....20 reps with 225 lbs....385 max....48/50 on the Wonderlic....

Most of you guys are scoffing at him, but if he were a rookie coming into the league with those combine numbers, most of you would be DROOLING over him. There is such a thing as unused potential, and that's obviously what Childress sees.
This is certainly more thorough than my earlier post.
I was watching a game last year where he was virtually impossible to cover.
He is a perfect slot receiver, and, if we got him...clearly, he would be the best Viking receiver on the roster.
Rams don't want to lose him, so, we will need to be aggressive if we want him...which, I hope we do.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

I didn't realize that he was THAT fast...DANG!!!
    AND he can CATCH!!!
    Sign him NOW!!!
And bring in Drew Bennett too to be the possession receiver!
IF we do that, we might not even need to trade up for Calvin...even though I think that he will be the best WR to come out of the draft in YEARS!!!
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Wow.. people are freaking out over us signing Curtis?

Honestly, this would be a great signing. I mean, I doubt he actually ran a 4.2 (it said hand timed) but anything in the 4.3 range is blazing. The smarts are definitely a positive as mentioned and he's strong.

He's been stuck behind two future hall of famers in Bruce and Holt in St. Louis but still showed his stuff well playing in the slot. He's probably not an ideal #1 receiver but he would definitely be a legit #2.

    Go get em Childress.

Have you heard of Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce?

Well, that's why you haven't heard of Curtis...he plays behind those guys.

Pickings are gonna be slim in FA.

I would like to see them sign him as a good option as a number 2 WR.

With that said, I assume they are going to attempt to sign more than one FA and draft at least 2 guys.

Ultimately I bet they will invite a few undrafted rookies to camp as well.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I would welcome Curtis for the right price. At least he can catch the ball which is more than most of our current options at WR can offer.

I'm not quite sure about Curtis, but if he becomes a vike i will welcome him with open arms. seriously, our WRs have been anything but special, and we need someone to bring the best out of childress' WCO. if curtis is that man, then bring him in.

does anyone know about stallworth's current status?

    Yes.
He's too expensive for the Vikings to even entertain.
I would like to bring him in too but I don't see it happening.

I'd be pretty happy if we signed him.

He seems to have a great attitude and has really made the most of the limited chances he's gotten playing behind Holt and Bruce.

I think he's a great #2WR, and seems to have the kind of work ethic and character we need.

I agree with Childress that Curtis would be the best guy to pursue he learned under a great pair of veteran WRs and he would be ready to prove how good he can be.
