Re: Chester Taylor to split carries???

I really hope they split carries between Chester and mainly Mewelde. I really think Mewelde would do some good things getting the ball a couple times a game (not the dump off passes) + punt returns.

Re: Chester Taylor to split carries???

every team in the final 4 last year had a double runningback situation. There is a chance Peterson drops, and that would be the BPA. I think it would improve our team and keep Chester healthy

Re: Chester Taylor to split carries???

Honestly, I kind of hope we're getting Chester the ball on 75-80% of the carries, and using Moore, Fason, and Pinner in situation downs according to their own strengths (i.e Mewelde where we may need to get some screen-pass yardage, Fason w/ Richardson for 3rd and short, etc).

Let's not sell Pinner short either. He came up BIG for us against Detroit last year.

Also entirely possible that Childress is making such public statements as a decoy for other teams that might want to offer us the kitchen sink if Adrian drops through the first 6 picks.

I don't care who carries the ball so long as we improve our yards per attempt from last year.

Re: Chester Taylor to split carries???

I dont have a problem with having depth in our roster, but I think there are a couple running backs getting the shaft on whether or not they start for us or not. Also, we need a stud to carry the ball. A work horse. Its nice to havec split backs but it is also nice to have the confidence that we have a back that can do the job 80% of the time. I think Chester is the right man for the job.

I would rather have Chester 75% someone else 25%, I'm not a real big fan of rb by committee though

In my opinion, running back by committee says that you dont have enough confidence in one guy to get the job done.

I think it's perfect isn't this what everyone wishes for.

I prayed all of last season that he would define someone to share the load so Chester didn't get worn down.

My biggest hope for #7 pick is to pick up Adrian Peterson.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Would be interesting but it's highly unlikely Peterson will fall to #7.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.
