Where did you hear this or see it??
You have no source or link and you never really said what Childress said about this.

No, I don't think its a bad idea, maybe not 50-50 but he can't keep being the sole workhorse.
He wore down last year and some of the load needs to be taken off of him.

Vikings head coach Brad Childress says he wants to find someone to "split carries" with Chester Taylor this season.
"I think it will be more of our intention to be able to split the carries with him," Childress said. "Give him fresh legs if we can." Whether this means using Ciatrick Fason or drafting a back in April is uncertain. Artose Pinner, Wendell Mathis, and Mewelde Moore are also on the roster. Mar. 28 - 9:40 pm et

    Sounds good to me.
Don't want him to be the next Ricky Williams or other over used RB.

Possible other member on the committee? Adrian Peterson maybe? :

The one-two punch seems to be the successful formula nowadays, so I guess I wouldn't mind seeing that employed here.

I think Mewelde could do it if he could stay healthy, but I also think he's a little fragile.

Drafting a tailback would be ok with me, as well as looking around at trades or late releases.

As of right now, I just want to see something happen.

That would be fine for me, but I think that Childress will still give Taylor the main load, he probably won't split 50/50.

    Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!

Agreed. There is no way, after a year like he had last year in his first season as a starter, would they take away the most productive part of the offense for half the time.

I think this is more along the lines of someone to relieve him when needed. A reliable backup, not a group of inconsistent performers.

i hope we draft adrian peterson..he looks like the only
pick worthy of the 7 if the top 5 are gone
Q: At your age, can you handle a full season?
A: I m 37, number one. I took my family to Perkins a couple of days ago, and they didn t hand me a senior citizens discount card, so I feel pretty good.
