Check out this 3 round mock

    http://www.condraft.com/mock.php?r=1

    Well, I like it!

    17-Ernie Sims
    48-Darnell Bing
    51-Dominique Byrd
    83-Brodie Croyle

Doesn't have the 95th pick yet though, but it has the Hawks getting Devin Hester, which would probably be a good pickup for KR/PR since I don't think we should have our #1 receiver on the return team. Could also be a project at CB.

Great amount of info on this site too.

No, Sims isnt worth the 1st for what we need. We need a QB to invest in. If we go for linebacker than get D'qwell, he fits our needs better. also, with tank we dont need bing anymore that fast. We need QB, LB and o-line invested

IMO Simms is a better LB than Jackson. I think it would be a good pick at #17, although i do hope that we can get Cutler

Why does everyone want us to take Croyle? I wouldn't hang a future Hall of Fame tag on him till he can prove to stay healthy.

hope they find a place to grab Eslinger, he seems to be very down to earth and would be a good back up with some work on the line and incase something happens to Birk.

I agree with SnoSho.. I'd love to see the Vikes get Eslinger, it'd certainly mean lot of love from the local media for picking the "All-American Local Boy" who also happens to be the All-American-college-Center.

I'd really think hard about drafting a First round QB. The more I think about it, the more I don't like it.

Too much to give up to get one of those QB's in the 1st round. There is too much building left to do on this team, like the Linebacker spot, which is filled with good first round prospects.

I will agree that we need a QB for the long haul, but not at the cost of building our team for the future. Someone like Jacobs, Whitehurst, or Croyle might be a good option, considering Childress and Co.'s apparent ability to develop quarterbacks.

Actually, I think Sims will be the best player available when our pick hits 17, so we may very well take him. We may need a future QB, but there is no way one of the top three will fall to 17.

I've said all along that I would love to have Ernie Sims. He was projected as our pick in several earlier mock drafts and now is back again. He'a would be a great addition to our team.

Just a thought, my opinion might change in a few hours or a few minutes.

    Pick
    1st - LB, best available.
2nd - Eslinger put him at RG and back up C.
3rd - Croyle or Whitehurst, the best two QBs left at this time in the second round.
4th - doesn't matter...........someone that can play special teams, a possible diamond in the rough.

The article about Wilf saying that they took pressure off the draft by signing FA this season, makes sense, we can pick the guys we want without having the pressure of feeling we have to take the best talent. Draft teh guys you want to work with.
