Smoking weed and eating potato chips.
I really hope this guy doesn't sign here (I don't think the source of the story is that reputable).
He is washed up, has character problems and is lazy.
Your opinion was forged by the media. Heck the media says we have a terrible Pass defense, TJ is a bust and AD isn't going to last 3 years n the league. Don't believe everything you read.
My opinion on all offeseason incidents are forged by the media.
I don't see these players on a day to day basis.
My opinion of their play comes from I see on gameday and everything else is based on reporting.
I would assume that is the same for everyone here.
I don't base my opinions on one source but what I read from multiple media sources, and what ACTUALLY happens.

I KNOW he was suspended 4 games for smoking marijuana and could not stay on the terrible Detroit Lions roster despite being the #2 overall pick and despite the Lions being a poor football team.
I KNOW he hasn't played in a professional league in years and any talent he had has likely degraded.
Those are all facts supported by more than one source.

I don't believe everything I read, but I'm more inclined to believe what I see.
And what I've seen from Charles Rogers is that he never produced in Detroit (largely due to his glass collarbones), and hasn't been playing on gameday for a long time...
All good points. However, i believe most os Rogers issues are/were Mar-jane related. It all depends on how he kept his body during his vacation from the league. I don't see the harm in letting him try out. I wager he might make the squad. Please don't take this as a knock aainst you but people on this board seem to think our WR core is the best in the league when in fact it's need the bottow quarter. So for anyone to say "he isn't needed", it makes me wonder if purple googles come in prescription strenght. Let the guy try out. If he can regain a bit of his potential then he is probally a Slot WR for us. He may even take Rice's spot depending on how well he plays.

BB - Should be a starter
Rice - Played well last year and we are expecting him to be even better
    Wade - Solid Slot
    AA - Returned 1 kick and made 18 catches...Replaceable
Ferge - Replace able - Best assest is his blocking lol
Johnson - Did not dominate in a week confrence and only had 700 yards his last season
Reynold( WV) - I would take him over AA or Johnson. Issue is he is built like a RB

    I would keep

    BB
    Rice
    Rogers
    Wade
    Reynold
    AA

Move JJ to Practice Squad and say buh bye to Ferge
Apparently Rogers recently ran a 4.8 40...given that, I would pass on Rogers and keep JJ on the roster.
Reynaud will be on the practice squad as well.
Fergy will be kept (IF and only IF the Vikes keep 6 WRs on the roster), otherwise, he's the odd man out.

    Berrian
    Rice
    Wade
    Aundrae
    Jaymar

    And maybe
    Fergy
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Charles Rogers anyone? Update: Or maybe Not.

I was quite surprised to here this once Itallian mentioned he was a pot smoker. Pot does promote laziness and exactly what Rogers seems to be. I think it was quite the rumor and would be surprised if Minny even called on his behalf.

On the other hand we do have some good competition at WR. AA is not replacable at this time nor is it a good idea to say he's replaceable when he's only played one year. The one thing that will eventually lead to AA's dismisal would be his actions, he's a very talented guy but I do question his personality and the things that come out of his mouth.

Either way I agree with most that Furgy could be the odd man out, I would like to see either Jaymar or Reynod impress enough on Punt Returns to make the squad. More than likely JJ, who was actually drafted and predicted to make a better Pro.

The Google master says he has 5 illegitimate kids. Another reason why Childress would not be intrested in such a player. He focus's on individuals who are married and settled down ready to focus on football.

according to profootballtalk the whole thing was a mis-construed rumor... as they put it "Maybe when Don Durrett said the word “Vikings” he was referring to a semi-pro team in Norway or Scandinavia or wherever Hagar the Horrible is from."

    Haha, no single players allowed!
    :P

I don't see AA going anywhere this season.
He showed some potential last season in limited playing time and apparently looked good in minicamp.

Cajuan - I agree. This was all based on if he can get back under a 4.4 forty.

In Viking land our WR core is very talaneted. In NFL land it's in the lower quarter of talent.
We have a solid core with limited potential.
BB - Good but not a great WR.
Rice - Showed promise but his stats at this point point to him being an average Wr so far. ( i know a lot of people will have hurt feelings but a 300 yard WR is not a dominant 1. Hence he is not great but full of promise.
Wade - Defination of average. There is one of him n every team. He's called a slot guy. He's ok
AA - He returns 1 kick and he is the full of potential. I think he had 100+ yards receiving. Again outside of Viking land, this kid is an average WR and there are tons of people in the league just like him.

I think we have a Diverse WR core but to say we are solid is a joke. We are hoping that Rice and AA continue to grow and blossom. Some people have kind of assumed this will happen. Nothing is a given in this league. Heck we all assumed TW would get it together eventually.
