Cardinals, Vikings Are Front-Runners For Malcom Floyd
Shit. They are like 30 something under the CAP. Atleast we are still trying to fix it though. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Speaking of Cap.
I took a quick look, it's hard to get accurrate numbers without the Vikes announcing the new contracts yet,
but we started 4.8 mil over.
Madieu freed up 5.5 mil
Kennedy freed up 2.5 mil, putting us 3.2 mil under the cap.
I'd expect Aromashodu to get about 800K against the cap.
Longwell about 3 mil.
we're roughly 600K over now.
Now figure Chad is owed 12 mil. Renegotiate to a 6 mil cap hit, that frees up 6 mil.
Peterson is owed about the same. renegotiate to a 10 mil cap hit, frees up another 3 mil. Decent Salary, $25 mil bonus spread over 5 years.
8.4 mil under
Other potential relief:
Winfield is owed 6.75 mil this year, but only 3 mil if he's demoted to Nickel. renegotiate with him to a flat 4 mil, free up another 2.75.
Hutch is owed 6.68 mil
Berrian is owed 3.9 mil.
I don't think we're in as rough shape as it seemed at first. We've got some good team players who I think

Haven't checked roto yet. Not sure if they are keeping up with whats going on, however, they were accurate to start.

Rotoworld
Looks like they are keeping up, or atleast close. I did the calculator thing once already today. Someone else can juggle these numbers.
Were in the heck are the PPO CAPOLOGISTS today when you need them. :lol:Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Cardinals, Vikings Are Front-Runners For Malcom Fl
Issue is they don't have numbers for new signings:
like this:
Devin Aromashodu Wide Receiver
7/29/2011: Signed a one-year contract.

Also worth noting, Camarillo is making $1.7 mil this season.
For the production we get out of him, if we can manage James Jones, that's an easy replacement. Jones will cost more, but we get alot more too.

Thats why I said atleast. All you have to do is take the numbers they do have and add the couple they don't.

Berrian, yes (as long as he's healthy)
Cam? Not sure.
It really depends who we get this offseason. If we go after an Edwards of a Floyd, and get Jones, that's a crowded receiving corps
Edwards/Floyd, Jones, Harvin, Berrian, Jaymar, Cam
one of those guys has to go, since we won't keep 6 players. Jaymar will be cheaper, younger, and has more upside. Cam is older, slower, and hasn't really done anything for us thus far. Jaymar can return punts apparantly, so that gets rid of the need for Cam to do it. I just don't see any upside in having him when there's younger, better options out there.
but like I've said many times so far, don't release him until you replace him.

I've been watching this and I think IBP is somewhat close with his estimate.

I want Floyd signed today.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
