Re: Cardinals Likely to Pick Cutler

I agree that Green won't take a QB he needs a impact player right now and also Cutler doesn't seem to fit that physical freak ability that he tends to look for above all else.

I think Denny is making a play for someone like us to move into that spot. Much like when Saban came out and said he would take Cutler if he's there at 16. They need picks, not back up QBs.

Good, I don't want Cutler, he's overrated and overhyped!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Re: Cardinals Likely to Pick Cutler

It would make sense to trade with Denny to get in front of the Rams and take Cutler. I wonder what he'd want in return? Does anyone know the value of the picks? (sorry I don't have time to look).

Re: Cardinals Likely to Pick Cutler

What would people prefer: give up our 17, and a second and third rounder to move up and snag Cutler, or take the best player available at 17, and get a QB with one of our second round picks AND one of our third rounders.

That way, we'd still have a stud LB/RB/CB at 17, plus we'd have two QBs, and we could cross our fingers that one of them developed. I think the odds would be better on that happening (one of the QBs developing) than trading all that and banking on Cutler to be a superstar.

No need to draft two QBs

Re: Cardinals Likely to Pick Cutler

I'm not sure if I made my point clear, so let me try restating it. From a purely "picks" perspective, would it make more sense to spend three picks on one QB (Cutler), or use those same three picks for 2 QBs and a LB/RB/CB?

I would think the odds of either Jacobs and the Oregon QB turning out be a starter are probably better than the odds of Cutler turning into a stud.

But obviously everyone is free to disagree...

Cards can take him...that will be 3 people killed by that O-Line: Warner, Edge & Cutler. Good luck behind that swiss cheese line

Even if Cutler got past the Cards, he won't get past the Rams or Ravens.

Re: Cardinals Likely to Pick Cutler

I say giving up most of our current picks for a QB is insane. UNLESS we could get Leinhart. I think he is the only QB of the top 3 that is a sure thing. The others have to many ???? Otherwise, build the team and take a 2nd or 3rd round QB to develop. Less risk
