    Cap Room...

Does anyone know how much cap room we have left after the Hutch and T-Rich deals?

I am not sure, but they said that if they get hutch, they won't be very active in FA after that point.

I don't know the details of Richardson's deal but before that (Hutch included) we had around 12-15 million dollars in cap space.

Richardson's contract is 2years $2.5 Mil, but I don't know what portion of that goes against this year's cap.

It would depend on the amount of signing bonus and the base year amount but it is fair to say right now that the amount is split evenly over the 2 years.

Also remember we need to save some cap room to sign our draft pick and it will take MORE money to sign a high draft pick if we trade up.

How much do they need to have in pocket-capwise for the 1st and 2nd rounders? I'm guessing they are still sitting around $12+M.

That's exactly what I was about to say Prophet. If we draft one of the "Big 3" QB's this year, how much space do we need to sign them. The last thing we need is another Bryant McKinnie calibre hold-out.

I don't know but the 1st round picks are slotted in value based on order of pick. However, the amount of cash in hand needed all depends on how they write the contract (# of base years and signing bonus amount).

Someone call up old Rob at Winter PArk and ask him how much cash we have left?
