Simeon Rice still has bout 3 years left i say sure why not the article brings up a very good point about him kinda giving Udeze and Erasmus some insight on the art of the pass rush they got the money they should act on it, could be beneficial for now and our future.

I would much rather go after Freeney. We could decide how many years we want him plus I don't think we would even be paying him 10mil a year. Any1 know what happened to the thread I made about Erasmus not having that "quick first step" coming back after his injury?

Re: Bucs' pass rusher Rice may be nice fit for Vikings

I have the wonderful opportunity to watch the Bucs down here in Tampa (sarcasim on).I'll start off bye saying that Rice is a monster.Hes probably one of the most underaited DE's in the NFL.He is a sack machine and would instinly upgrade our pass rush. However I think if and when the Bucs move him, it will be to either 1 of two teams.Detroit or Indianapolis.Rice is a huge fan of Marenelli and Dungy.I'm sure hes friends with Tomlin, but to me Rice is to big of a Marenelli fan not to go there.

I hope i'm wrong, and I hope he comes here.Hes worth whatever price tag he'll come with.

Simeon Rice and Calvin Johnson would be too good to be true.

Dude Cajun, did you have Edwards' babies or something? You got more man love for Edwards than Madden has for Farve.

Anyways - Rice/Freeney whoever it is, a quality veteran FA could be really useful. We have young and talented DE's already and some extra knowledge from a veteran could never hurt their games.

I'd rather get a complete end then just a one dimensional pass rusher like I think Rice is now or like Kenechi Udeze is since he can't get any pass rush.

I'd sign him over Freeney any day. He'll obviously be chepaer, and play a pretty vital teaching role to Erasmus James and whatever defensive end we draft, since we will take one, either at 7 or in the second round, hopefully Jarvis Moss.

A guy like him teaching a young corps of pass rushers, and the Williams Bros. in the middle could really improve our dline 10 fold. And it's pretty damn good already.

Our current team + a pass rush on defense + a passing game on offense, just might = a super bowl.
