Many teams just assumed we were looking for a QB in the draft because of the QB controversy here & the Pat White smokescreen, so naturally any QB taking right before the Vikings picked was story fodder for the yutz reporters.

It didn't matter who the QB or team was. Any QB taking by any team a few picks prior to the Vikings would have fueled the same story. Only the names would have changed

You gotta admit that this kindof stuff makes the draft interesting though, real or not.
Just the perception that a team might do something drives the other teams to react.
