Re: Bucs moved up to steal Freeman from Vikings

I think we were looking Harvin the whole way personally

Weather that means we are happy with Jackson or Ros is beyond me.. But my gut says we wanted Harvin as soon as we knew he was entering the draft

I don't believe it for a second and that has nothing to do with T-Jack.

It seems to me Harvin was definitely their first choice (of people with a realistic shot of being there) no matter what. They made the Havin pick real quick
    I rest my case
    Well believe the rumor then.

But bringing in question mark QB that was seen as a huge drop off from the top 2 doesn't seem like the quick fix Childress was looking for to keep his job. I think he's tried that once and his boss hasn't been enthused thus far. I don't see how he would be of any value to our team.
again I rest my case. Care to explain the Bucs reasoning then? If there was no concern for our QB situation pretty sure there woudl be no sniffing around other options.
But I guess most teams with no QB issues have do that. Surprised teh Colts
didn't jump up in th edrasft to make a run at
    Stafford or Sanchez.

I think they just felt we were gonna take him and didn't wanna risk it

I doubt our guys would let it be known we were looking at Freeman if we were.. Which I doubt we even took a serious look

I'm sure there's concern about our QB's but that doesn't get solved with a college QB with plenty to work on. I don't know how the rumor started that Minnesota was interested in picking him with the #22 pick but it seems highly unlikely and I'm being 100% honest, no T-Jack goggles on lol.
    Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

Spielman said that they saw Harvin as a top-10 talent.. So Freeman would have to been higher than that, i doubt that is the case.. So the Bucs was wrong.. Pretty sure they jumped in front of the Broncos..

Sounds like a load of bull to me.
However, if they did, I thank them.

I actually am not at all convinced by this blogger and his "sources" considering he is the only one with "inside" information.
I would not have been shocked to see us take Freeman if he was there at 22, but I personally think Harvin was our target all along and we were willing to sit there and wait for him because we knew he was not going anywhere before us.
Now if Maclin had slipped a few more picks things could have gotten interesting for us.

If the Vikes would have drafted Freeman I am afraid that may have been the last straw for me.
That would have been a waste of a 7th round pick much more a first rounder.
