Umm do you guys not remember history? Seriously do you remember how he left?

    1. Chilly booted him. They did not see eye to eye.
    2. If he wasn't money hungry he would still be our QB.

    Fuck him!
The only way he could still be our QB is if we hadn't let Linehan go. As far as I'm concerned the man is a genius, anyone who can help Culpepper look that good is a true QB Guru (not like ours).

Now that I think of it, Linehans offense, or something of that nature, is what we need for TJ. It is simplified for the QB but it just seemed so wide open compared to our simplified offense.
He is a better OC than a coach. I wish we would offer him the position.

Didn't Linehan also do a good job with Gus in Miami considering what he had to work with?
He did even better with Gus here (I mean there) when DC went down.

Hahaha so I guess no one liked the idea. It wasn't a joke though. It was simply based on the quality of QBs we have had on the roster the last 3 years. I know we won't bring him because Chilly and him don't see eye to eye. However, the cheap price tag for a quality backup who could (in my opinion) compete with TJ for a starting position was too good to pass up.

    Thanks for the opinions.
    Halo 4. Start another fight.

    Re: Bring back Culpepper?

No Thank You. Culpepper remains the only Viking or ex-Viking that I despise. For me, I've been watching the Vikes for almost 40 years. There's been a number of players that I've had issues with during that time. Player's that have left the team have earned a little negative like from me, from time to time, but most haven't been hated. The exceptions are O-Thomas and Tiny Hands. Maybe I've forgotten a few, but those two are certainly on the list. Culpepper goes beyond hate for me. I actively despise him. I always questioned his abilities, but he was the best QB on our roster when he cried his way out of town. I feel that he is responsible for the sad state of our passing game over the last few years. He wasn't man enough to stick it out with us, and so he screwed us. Thankfully, his own career is blown as well. The coward has no business in purple and gold.

    Bring back Culpepper? HELL YES!

Let's scrap the T-Jack project. I don't think he'll ever become the bonafide starter we need.
Everyone's saying "let's give him one more offseason of development and he'll ready."

The same thing was said last year and look how it turned out. He crumbles under pressure but plays quite well as long as you don't ask him to win games for you. And that's what I would like to see next season a qb who can win games when we're behind

eh ... this is a silly thread too. There is no reason right now to think the Lions are going to release Culpepper.

I agree, not only that but why in the world would Culpepper be exepted back or wanted after all that went down. Ideas like this don't even crack my conscious.

All right then ... well fuck it ... Let's start the "Bring in Peyton Manning" thread since "anything" is possible. He signed for damn near the league minimum through next season.
Unless they decide they are happier with Orlovsky, the guy they draft and some other guy ... it is really unlikely that he is released. Of course "anything is possible" but seriously that means lets make threads about bringing in Peyton Manning, Ed Reed and Andre Johnson. I mean ... anything is possible.
