Do we need to examine every player that is a FA?

    remember derek alexander(not the de)?
well that's what we'd be getting with an eddie kennison.
lloyd i did like before washington, but what happened in washington that had him not playing at all for god sakes?
speaking of a guy who needs a change of scenery.
maybe gibbs being old school didn't fit well with lloyd.
i wouldn't be overly surprised if he goes someplace and becomes productive.
he was coming on in san fran before being traded so who knows.
but he doesn't strike me as someone that childress would like for some reason so it's probably moot.

bryant johnson scares me cuz he's had alot of playing time in arizona between injuries to other guys and all and hasn't exactly lit up the world.
i am intrigued by porter and walker, but walker i think is attracting too much competition for his services and porter has to prove he was just in a bad offense and that he's not just a bum.
in other words nobody feels comfortable.
sounds like every year at wr for us lately.

True enough about Johnson, but he also would fill in more than one WR position, so it is probably hard to get in a rythym with a QB when you are in a different spot every other week.
All I know about him is that he has good measurables and he catches the ball, something that we could really use across the field from Rice.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

I want to sign DJ Hackett. He was injured most of last year, but when he played he was VERY good. Provided his injuries aren't chronic, He'd be good in Purple and Gold.

    yah i like him too.
he kinda has that javon walker baggage cuz he can't stay healthy.
i heard some analaysis on him someplace yesteraday where most just consider him a solid number 2. maybe, but when he played last year on a seatlle team with solid wrs he appeared like the go to guy.

either way, outside of the ashley lelies of the world, most of these guys improve our corp almost assuredly.
we just gotta hope for the best case scenario and one of them becomes a legitmate threat.
with our running game there really should be no reason why one wr cant have a big year with us.
despite what some might think of tavaris.
but if they let tavaris play more instead of protecting him from mistakes(like the end of the year), it should be easy if somebody has talent.

Re: Brandon Lloyd and Eddie Kennison released

Lets remember, most of the players getting released this time of year are nothing more than aging Vets who don't produce at a top level anymore.

Very few players that are of any worth hit the market at this time. Most get franchised before they can hit the market and the ones that do all have issues which precluded thier team from paying them top dollar or are guys who just want a huge payday that is way out of anybodies spending range.

By the way, no to both of these cats.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
