Re: Bills Release OT Mike Williams

I have never even heard of him before but if he is reasonable it doesn't hurt to work him out.

I would definitely take a chance with him.
Bad players can go at any spot, Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, David Terrell etc. The list of recent top 10 busts is long.

I wouldn't imagine you wouldwant to pick up these players just because they were high draft picks.

It was my goal in life t o reach 3900 . My new goal is to reach 4000, though that number seemed much larger before folks like Cajun, vikez and Ultra brought their superposting skillz to the table.

I remember watching that draft, they were talking about how McKinnie was much worse than Mike Williams, that his pass protection was not as good and his run protection was much worse.

I guess they were all wrong..

Have a few friends that are Bills fans... I've heard that he has depression problems, and struggles to stay motivated and aggressive. He also has a really hard time controlling his weight.

I like Williams, but I don't know if I'd be interested in bringing him here.

Forget this guy. The Jets cut Fabini and he is a much better player. If we cant get Runyan, this might be the way to go.

I've also stated I'de like to see Runyan come to the Vikes, and I think with Childress being here and knowing him, that may give us an advantage...

Only downside to this is the fact that Runyan has made statement that he'd like to finish his career with the Eagles, even if it ment him taking a pay cut....

But there is ways around that issue also.. We could sign him for a year at a time with the clause and agreement on both sides that the Eagles could resign him when the time came to retire or we didn't want his services any longer. This way he could retire an Eagel....Which I whole heartedly agree with...

There is alot of people we could look at..

    Bentley, Runyan, Williams, Salaam

Personally I think we should take a run at Bentley.. He is nasty

I kinda want to give Williams a shot.. Give him a cheap contract.. I think he would do good with our coaching here..

Dis is what "Needles" Mosconi tol' be dis mornin'...
    =================================================
    Runyan on the move?
<Feb. 24> Runyan, who will become a free agent on March 3, has not heard from the Eagles regarding a new contract.

"A lot of people need a right tackle," Runyan told the Delaware County Daily Times. "And, by the looks of it, the Eagles are going to need one. I don't know what they're going to do. I haven't heard from them."

Runyan is the only man who has started for the Eagles at right tackle in the last six seasons. The Philadelphia Inquirer believes the Eagles will let Runyan see what he's worth on the open market before deciding whether they want to bring him back.
