    Re: Biggest Bust in 06?

Jeff Fisher and Drew Bennett were on NFLTA and they asked Jeff that question.
Jeff said he was hoping they could work something out with Mcnair,he then said if that does't work out they have Volek.Fisher said they would bring VY around slowly.

    Huh?
Sorry I am feeling a little feisty this morning.......and angry that we continue to be the laughingstock of the nfl....
I still love it when you get feisty DC. Especially when you buy into the media crap.
LOL media crap and all the local yahoos that constantly taunt me about being a lowly Viking fan. I am definitely feeling FEISTY today
Uh oh..DCPolo being feisty? I like the sound of that... (Sorry, Cajun isn't here right now, so I had to do it!)

How can people say any of the QB's in the 2006 draft will be a bust this year?

What are the odds of them starting?

You can't be a bust if your not playing.
Eventually, Vince Young is expected to be a star quarterback in the NFL.

Your right, he won't start this year, he first has to go through the learning process.

But when your drafted with the 3rd overall pick in the NFL Draft, eventually, your expected to be a star in the NFL.

And in my opinion, 3 or 4 years from now, Vince Young won't be a star.

    Therefore, he's a bust.
    Then he'll be a bust in 3 or 4 years. 2009 or 2010

The question posed is "Who will be the biggest Bust in 06?"

Well if the question was "Who will be the biggest bust in 06?" then this was a dumbass question. Because you can't consider a rookie a bust, just because he dosen't do good in his rookie year.

If that was the case, Cris Carter would have been considered a bust.

And we all know how he turned out, after he left Philadelphia. :thumbright:

I believe he meant who will be the biggest bust from the 06 draft, not who will be in the biggest bust in the 06 season.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Fran Foley! Not that I'm sold on the fact we drafted badly but he has to be the biggest bust in 06.

Players wise Ernie Sims, when the Lions throw the ball to him and realise they haven't drafted a WR in round one.

Im gonna have to say Vince Young unfortunetly..

Going to a pretty weak team and having to start off the bat most likley will mess him up.. And he will not learn the ropes

Im hearing he will start when McNair leaves.. Don't they have Volek though?
Stop the presses!!! After having a love affair with the guy prior to the draft you have now done a 180. Wow!

I think there are only two canidates for the biggest bust from the 06 draft.

    Mario Williams...and Reggie Bush.

They hype around Bush is so high that I do not believe he will ever accomplish anything great enough to justify it especially playing for the Saints.

Mario Williams will have to succeed for the mere fact that he was drafted ahead of Reggie Bush. In other words they eyes of the sporting world are focused on these two guys to disect their every move.

They have the biggest chance to "flop."

think leinart in the short term. he's expected to be ready to play & therefore it's adjust or bust. he could remain merely a college specialist. imo reggie will be effective from limited carries & has the benefit of being eased in behind deuce mcallister. you can't be a bust in 06 if you don't play so that kinda rules out vince young. methinks donte whitner will be a first year bust at buffalo if they expect him to walk in there & own the field.

I say Leinart. I think he will be a decent quarterback, but his lack of velocity and arm strength will limit him and he will never be the elite quarterback anyone thinks he is.
