Re: Best WR in the draft

this wasn't a question of who we should take, it was who's the best reciever.

    *edit
I didn't see the question on the poll, so nevermind

It all depends on what your scheme is.
I don't think there is one clear cut winner like Calvin Johnson last year.
Some would be great Moss-esqe vertical threats, some would be decent redzone threats, some would be good west coast guys, but i don't think there's one great all-around reciever in this years draft.
Exactly, and depending on your scheme a couple could fit.

People just need to realize it isn't who is the best, it just matters what the team needs and who best fits the scheme.
I'm tired of that excuse. We get these bargin basement WRs because they " fit our scheme"
Our scheme calls for a WR that can run hitches, slants and outs....
However, If Teli doesn't improve, we need a WR that can figth for a poorly thrown ball. Get Kelly or Sweed and We will make them work..

    Scheme?

A guy who has above average to good speed, can catch, and has a brain can fit any scheme.

Let's not make this more complicated by talking WR schemes.

I'd like to add, tall and/or leaping ability. Those are things that I look for

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I would say that Malcom Kelly is the best receiver, in this year's draft, but I (personally) prefer DeSean Jackson because of his kick return abilities. Let's face it, we were horrible on special teams, last year. I still remember starting a lot of our drives inside the 20 yard line...
