Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints OC LeCharles Bentley denied Friday, March 3, a Philadelphia newspaper report that he is planning to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles as soon as free agency begins Monday, March 6. One thing that is clear is Bentley will not be returning to the Saints. Earlier this week, he made his strongest comment yet, telling CBSportsline that, "I would rather sit out a season than play for the Saints again."

I told u guys don't believe this local source crap they don't know wat they be talking about he probably hasn't even talked 2 the Eagles at all. Only believe it when he signs with somebody(hopefully the Vikes).

No he hasn't. It's against league rules for a team to talk to any free agent prior to free agency, unless it's one of their own.

It really dosnt matter whats up with Birk. He can play Gaurd and Center. And when Birk retires or leaves he can slide into the Center Role. I want Bentley more then Edge, Peterson and Witherspoon. He would help anchor down our shakey line. The we can worry about a RB.

i agree to that. denver hasnt had a good rb for a while, yet they always get 1000+ yards behind that amazing oline. let us get that solid oline and then see what back fits best with it.

I agree Bently would be a great addition. Birk was out all last year, and that killed the line and the entire offense. Bently can lock down right gaurd and even makes birk less of a liability if he goes down again. not to mention birk gets like 6 million a year and he's getting up there in age. I think bently's only 26
