Re: Bennett stays and Smith gets another chance?!?!
Here a translation, perdon for failures

Dont expect the Minnesota Vikings to get rid of Michael Benett in the off-season, allthough the last couple of monts there have been reports about this.. Writes Pro Football Weekly
The Vikings new headcoach Brad Childress has a good relationship to Michael Bennett, Childress recruited Bennett as a Highscool player, when Childress was at University of Wisconsin, also Bennett fits perfect into Childress offense.
Also Brad Childress has mentioned that Runningback Ontarrio Smith, who right now is serving a yearlong suspension for use of illegal drugs, will get a new chance with the new coaching staff..

For those more familiar with the West Coast offense - is that something that Bennett could fit into ?
My understanding is that it relies on a short controlled passing game and is not based on the long 'home run' ball. If that's the case then Bennett's speed won't be such a need and so takes away the only real gift that he has. Also short passes in front of LB's to him will result in him getting battered beyond belief and he wouldn't last more than a game.Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Re: Bennett stays and Smith gets another chance?!?!
Basically in a nutshell it is about ball control and moving the chains. You still want your RB's to get into the open and break a big one, you still have linemen releasing on LB's to open up the second tier.

Sam.. Once again man.. Gotta explain your self just can't say that u hate someone! Come on dude..
I'm thrilled Bennett is gonna stay and Smith gets a second chance.. Bennett just needs some decent blocking.. Make him a crease and he will explode through for 5+
Onterrio is gonna help greatly if he gets a shot to play alot and kept himself in shape.. I hope he was sincere about staying off the ganja

Re: Bennett stays and Smith gets another chance?!?!
Maybe he will use Bennett at WR in the slot.
Wingback maybe.
Put that speed to use.
That is what Coach tiddle wants.

Re: Bennett stays and Smith gets another chance?!?!
Good idea 6..
They used Westbrooke alot as a WR. Maybe they will do the same here and use Bennett's speed against a LB

Re: Bennett stays and Smith gets another chance?!?!
i'm all for giving smith another chance, he could be a 1300 yard back if he got most of the carries and the line started doing a decent job. I really don't like bennett tho, he has nothing going for him except speed, and speed in a running back is overrated, it's more of a luxury than a necessity.
