A torn knee is still much better than Cook. Plus it will be fine by camp. I think the Vikings are just waiting. The Packers already said they will not resign him until they know it is fully healed."marstc09" wrote:

He would have to be a bargain basement acquisition.
I like his field presence though.

Seems to me that even the PUKERS are a bit worried about the health of his knees and his value directly associated to the same issue. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Bargain Basement? Remaining Free Agents
Packers are mostly set on offense.
Totally see them going defense...especially with the switch to 3-4.
I don't think that they've got the big boys they'll need up front for that scheme to work, their DBs are pretty old, and I'm not sure they've got the 4 LBs that they want to start either.
Yeah, IMHO, So far so good for our FAs...Kleiny and Farwell were tops of my list to keep, with Gordon not far behind.
I'm kind of hoping that Kennedy turns into a steal for us too!
We could sure use one to help us offset Williamson's whole draft!!
Kevin and Pat and Jared and Co. is a pretty intense set of gentlemen to hang out with...Hopefully the inspiration will be there!!
;D
Perhaps, if he develops a bit better work ethic, he can be Pat's eventual replacement...?Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Not if they lose Tauscher. They need to protect Rodgers. They already have predicted their 3-4 lineup. Did you miss that article?

Free agent bargains and players to beware

I would take Leigh Bodden in a heartbeat to play nickel.4. Jeff Garcia, QB: He has still managed to be a quality starter, posting 90.2 passer rating in 12 games with Tampa Bay last season. But injuries have become more of a concern and a team needs to provide good protection if it’s going to get the best of what Garcia, 39, has left. On the plus side, he might know West Coast systems as well as any active quarterback in the league, and he could walk into almost any of the current ones and be a starter on Day 1.
