Baltimore wants Cpepp?
If this has already been posted then I apoligize.....
ESPN reporter Clayton reported that although Oakland,Miami and Arizona have some interest in Cpepp the likely team Minnesota will deal with is Baltimore. It appears the Raven are willing to give us more then the other teams ....Ravens have said to offer there 1st round pick and CB Chris McCallister and a conditional draft pick in 2007 based on Cpepps injury and some say it could turn out to be another 1st round pick. The Vikes would give up Cpepp and Smoot and also Minnesota's 2nd round pick.
I'm not sure how valid this is but I though I would see what ya'll thought?~ I BLEED PURPLE!! ~

Is there a link for this?

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
I hope not. That would be a horrible trade. Smoot's numbers were basically the same as McCallister's even though he played in 3 less games. We would still have a glaring need at QB because Brad won't be around forever, and we wouldn't be able to pick up a new one with Baltimore's pick at 13. And no second round pick. Come on....

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
Just fine, might as well packages McKinnie in there for Ogden to, that way we can get rid of all the Captains at once.
Once again, I hope this is just rumor.
Pick 14th and 17th, wow
If it happens, just shoot me.
If it is going to happen just let it happen, why torture me like this.
Sorry for the sarcasm!

I question Baltimores ability to pick up the cap space to do the move.
I don't know that the trade would be all that bad. I am pretty sure it isn't going down because something doesn't add up.

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
I don't know if that is that good of a deal anyway...we give up two players for a draft pick and a player. Smoot and McCallister are about even in terms of talent...although I think McCallister is somewhat better. So that makes it Pep for their first rounder (and I think it is lower than the 7th pick we got last year for Moss)...and the conditional 2nd is ONLY if Pep comes back. NOT MUCH of a deal for us really.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
Actually, it would be Pep and our second rounder for their first rounder. No way.

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
Baltimore is desperate for a QB. I do not doubt they would want Pep, but the probably have expressed interest in other QB's as well knowing they do not have a chance.

Re: Baltimore wants Cpepp?
No way!! If Wilf and CO. take this trade I will for sure lose some stock in those guys.. The only way we trade Pep is for either a good player in return, or a high first rd draft pick.
Let's not have another Moss-Harris type of trade. That was sickening last season, and if that happens again we will truly the laughing stock of football.

Pep is going nowhere, at least not to the Ravens.
Unbundle your panties.
