Re: Aussie punter gets workout with Vikings
I wonder why we're bringing in punters?
If there is any one position (well 2, but we all know what the other one is) that should be strong for years, its punter.

So Kluwe's leg doesn't get sore kicking to all the returners, every day, through TC.

They use a JUGS machine for that.

They are proberly just looking at some guys who would be easy to sign if Kluwe was to be injured at any time during the season..
As long as Kluwe is healthy he has no chance at making the roster, but you never know with injuries..
Re: Aussie punter gets workout with Vikings
I would think that is true, but they bring in competition for him EVERY year..... last year was the lefty....

Probably the closest thing to truth right there. Probably a mix of that and a extra leg in training camp.
Read someplace that they like to use a real leg sometimes instead of the jugs as it seems to always give the same type of ball with a perfect spiral.
Re: Aussie punter gets workout with Vikings
Yeah, I'm guessing, extra leg for TC and potential for the practice squad/just in case of injury.
We signed Kluwe to a pretty long contract, it would probably be pretty hard to beat him out.
Yeah, Marr, that makes complete sense to me.
Live leg vs. jugs has got to be a bit more real.
