Re: Asher Allen reminds Antoine Winfield of himself
when do you EVER hear that from a rookie?"It's an honor," Allen said of playing alongside Winfield. "He's been in the league for a very long time, especially at a tough position like cornerback. He obviously knows he's doing something right, so, as a young guy coming in, I want to know why and how is he able to do this."
i'm excited about this guy

Good interview, great kid. Asher getting kudos from coaches and teammate's. Even some bold predictions. Asher Allen will be in the mix on Sundays.
I like how we've improved debth wise at both CB, and WR positions. Only good can come of that.

Re: Asher Allen reminds Antoine Winfield of himself
That is exactly what I've said about Asher in one of my blog posts."He plays with a lot of confidence," Wade said. "That's what you need as a rookie corner."
The kid plays with such extreme confidence, and when playing corner or WR you need to be confident, almost cocky, to succeed.
The play I pointed out was when Berrian was streaking down the sideline with Allen in coverage, Berrian just missed the ball, after the play I could hear Asher saying: "You aint getting past me, I told you man, I told you"

He closed out his Bulldogs career as one of the elite kickoff return specialists in school history despite handling the duty for just two years
