    Anyone Still Want Anderson?

After all the talk from some people about wanting to get Anderson on the Vikes, I say the guy looked terrible in the Pro-Bowl. Getting to the Pro-Bowl by default, his passing game looked worse than TJ's. Does anyone still want to give up a 1st and
    3rd draft choice for him?

I was all on the DA bandwagon but that is before a few of you convinced me that TJ will do better next year.

That is my new party line and I am sticking to it.
If "Futureboy" returns to form them I am dredging up the threads from the posters who convinced me to think this way.

I don't think the pro bowl is a very good indication of anybody's talent.
Nobody is going full speed, everybody is still sore from the season.
Plus DA came in late in the game.
His INT to Sharper was the third hail mary in a row, so play calling isn't exactly normal.

If the front office sees fit to make a run at DA, so be it.
    If they don't, OK.
I don't think his performance or lack thereof in the pro bowl will have anything to do with the decision either way.

The Pro Bowl is a joke.
Anderson was missing wide open guys before the tossing of the long ball in the few series I saw him in.

I still wasn't a fan of picking up the guy because he had a good season.

DA does well in his own offense with his own weapons apparently.
Or, he just had a bad day.
Maybe he was one of those guys that was terribly scarred by Rich Eisen's karyoke attempts.

I think he could be had for CT and a 2nd.
    Not saying I want it.
CT could watch the aging Lewis back him up.
    LOL!

DA showed he has skills, he is a slinger.
Let's see if he can repeat his efforts this upcoming season before we put him 6 feet under in the once and done cemetery.

As other said, the Pro Bowl is nothing more than a glorified preseason game.. everyone has to adjust to a different playcalling scheme and play in a matter of a couple of days.. does it surprise you that a young signal caller struggled with it. It doesn't for me.. That being said, I still think TJ will take another step this season. Probably not all pro or anything but solid none the less.

    Re: Anyone Still Want Anderson?

Until you see both him and TJ in our system under identical scenarios it is impossible to tell which is the better choice. There is no guarantee that TJ in place of Anderson yesterday would have been better or worse.

The real question is whether the team is still confident enough in TJ having the ability to be a SB winning QB. If they believe in him and can give him the training necessary to win it then I say quit looking around and spend your money on the line and defense. If they don't have confidence that he can win the SB then I hope they have a backup plan and start to implement it very soon.

    Re: Anyone Still Want Anderson?

i really can't judge any player based on the pro bowl.
you have to think though, Anderson is still young, and he would be throwing to guys he's never played with.
He doesn't know how they react and they don't have timing worked out like he does with his own recievers, so i wouldn't expect him to do that great.
    Its the same with AD.
winning MVP was great, and it looks like his knee isn't bothering him anymore and he's at full speed, but
again, the defense isn't really trying.
