Thread: Anyone going to the Draft in NYC on April 26th?

I was thinking about going to NYC for Draft day on Saturday.
Anyone want to meet up? I live in Connecticut and I wish I went last year to see AD in purple.
Keep in mind that its free to get in you just have to show up early to gaurantee a spot. There will be only 2 rounds on the first day and starts at 2 pm.

i want to go badly, im from PA, me and my buddy wanna go up, is it true that it is free? cause if it is imma make the road trip and camp out

I hear they are real strict about showing up to early. they have security everywhere for home land security and do not like people just hanging out the night before. Now this is what I read for I have not been to one before.
I also hear of scam artist trying to sell VIP seats so becareful. If you show up a few hours before Im sure its just to wait in line.
I do not know if there is assigned seating just like a general admission type of deal.
I think Im driving to a train station and parking and taking a train into the city. I know parking and traffic is just dreadful so I'll play it safe.

i didnt mean camp out over night just show up like 4 hours early
id like to drive up instead of taking a bus

They have very little info about the event on the web.
Last year I wanted to go but I researched they have wrist band type of procedure to get in and it is def at Radio City Hall this year according to nfl.com research. Id like to go early as well to gaurentee a seat.
But lets keep in contact and Start a Viking section if we decide to go.
