Wow,....Bravo Mr Anderson! I see alot of time and consideration was put into this post. I will not nit pick over any of your analysis, you hit too many nails right on the head! Your break down of the zone blocking scheme should be Express Mailed to Winter Park! This is a prime example of why I love this web site! Thoughtful people with the ability to pull the season apart and offer well thought out opinions as to what we can do to move forward! Honestly, the best post-season break down I have read this year!

    Great post Mr. Anderson!!!

Option #1: Leonard Davis. 29 years old. 6'6, 366 pounds, Unrestricted Free Agent from the Arizona Cardinals. He's close to thirty, and has always played left tackle. So
I don't know if he would be willing to move away from the "premiere" position on the offensive line at this point in his career.
Actually Davis played RG his first years in the league and was moved to LT by Green when he became the head coach.
When he was first moved to LT I had heard that he didn't like it there and wanted to go back to RG, saw that either on ESPN or NFL network, don't remember since it was a while ago, so I'm sure he would be fine with moving.

    That's actually assonance, not alliteration.

Terrific work; I agree on Calvin, and I had not looked at Jarvis yet...will do so.

You should expand the Childress portion into a chapter itself....although it is interwoven everywhere else in your post.

I'm pretty sure assonance has to do with sound, not the actualy letter.

But I don't want to get into an argument amount literary devices.

A little high on yourself but that is OK,and most of what you had to say I agree with especially about the offensive line!
When you have the personnel we have you shouldn't use a zone blocking scheme.

If you are Green Bay and you have 2 rookies starting and need to hide how bad your line is you run a zone blocking scheme, and it worked for them.
But when you have players that are studs like Hutch and McKinney and Birk and are huge powerful guys you don't run a zone blocking scheme and none of them are used to playing that scheme and you could tell they were lost on what they should be doing.

What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Offer Jeff Garcia a shot at the starting job, offer Donnie Edwards a front loaded contract, trade for Joe Horn and pick up Drew Bennett and Nate Clements in FA!!!!
Clements, Bennett, and Edwards, maybe. Everyone else no.

Nate Clements is supposedly going to ask for a $20million signing bonus, and wants to be the highest paid corner in the NFL. And he wouldn't even be our #1 guy, he can't touch Winfield. Donnie Edwards is another guy who's up there, he's 34 in April, a good player, but I do not think he is worth it. Drew Bennett is basically the same type of player as Marcus Robinson, a big posession guy, who isn't all that great, but gets the job done. I'm not against signing him, but not for big money.

Jeff Garcia turns 37 next month. Joe Horn hasn't played a full season in 3 of the past 4 years and is 35 on tuesday. I think after this run Jeff Garcia has nowhere to go but down.
I think that alot of those older guys still have a few years left in them...heck, Edwards was 7th in total tackles this season (and we will most likely have to pay Napoleon a ton to stay here...BTW, Greenway is mostly suited to be a WLB, not a MLB).
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Why not? We talk about everything else!

You may be right about assonance being sound...I always though alliteration had to be consonant sounds. Maybe I'm thinking consonance....
