The Aging Big Pat
Bird Whisperer makes a decent point about a possible draft priority for the Vikings in his Sunday column -- the Vikings got younger on defense by replacing Sharper with Tyrell Johnson, but age-related problems still exist along the defensive line.

Charley Walters: The Vikings might trade down to accumulate more picks in the NFL draft
It wouldn't be surprising if the Vikings, who are without fourth- and sixth-round picks in next month's NFL draft, try to slide down by trading their No. 22 overall pick for more picks.
That's because they still might be able to fill their most glaring needs in the draft — offensive tackle and a possession wide receiver — later in the first round. If they can find a trade partner, they probably could satisfy both positions near the end of the first round.

Re: The Aging Big Pat
Pat has a good couple years left.
Look for a WR or OT in the 1st.
It is?!It's clear the Vikings' starting quarterback next season will be Sage Rosenfels.

Re: The Aging Big Pat
hmm... DT a pressing issue... didn't I list that as a draft priority last season, and it was shot down by some?

Complexity??? that's hilarious.. .your forgetting Sage would have been in camp longer than Gus and he came in in week 3 and played fine... furthermore, Sage played in a similar wco last year in Houston..."C" wrote:

lastly i highly doubt our offense should/could be described as complex... that more than a bit of a reach!..
as to the article above.. I don't see who would be desperate enough to move up to 22 given the depth of the draft at certain positions... unless someone unexpected drops to us... like Sanchez or a OT.. but if that happens i'm sure we'd take either of them so i just don't know if it will happen... it would be ideal, but i don't see who would drop to 22 and have us dropping back and picking up picks.. but anything can happen i guess..

i think if we draft one guy on the OL/ whether it be center, guard, tackle or a guy who can play all.. then we can move herrera to center/guard and Hicks to tackle..."jessejames09" wrote:

that way, we'd be in much better shape on the OL...
WR is a need and so is CB and DT believe it or not!
