But it may cause Russell to drop so we can draft him and develop 2 prospects at once. That should be exciting.[quote author=UffDaVikes link=topic=30318.msg550906#msg550906 date=1173978935]

Just to add this to the mix.
If the Moss/Rogers trade goes through, which it looks like it will, then CJ will end up being the #1 pick.
So he is even farther out of reach now...
Maybe we could run a 2 qb offense with both lined up in the shotgun and CT in between them.
Wash swaps with Miami.
Culpepper comes over in a trade between Lions and Miami.
#1 Oakland (2-14)- Calvin Johnson WR Georgia Tech
#2 Detroit (3-13)-Joe Thomas OT Wisconsin (after they trade for Daunte of course)
#3 Cleveland (4-12)- Adrian Peterson RB Oklahoma
#4 Tampa Bay (4-12)- Laron Landy S LSU
#5 Arizona (5-11)- Gaines Adams DE Clemson
#6 Miami (5-11)- JaMarcus Russell QB LSU
Trade
#7 Minnesota (6-10)- Brady Quinn QB Notre Dame
#8 Houston (6-10)-Levi Brown OT Penn State
#9 Washington (6-10)- Jamaal Anderson DE Arkansas
Trade
#10 Atlanta (7-9)- Alan Branch DT Michigan
Sorry should have bolded the trade stuff.

Just to be clear, are you saying you think Landry is a better pick? Or, are you saying you dont think we will be able to make a move to get Johnson and therefore Landry is the best choice available?Get Landry. .
No way in hell we draft C Johnson

I would guess he was thinking something along the lines of we have no chance of moving up to get him. He might not even be on the board if we even get the chance to move up."V4L" wrote:

I adjusted the picks according to BPA and Team Needs.
Pretty hard to really do it both ways, however:
If Moss goes to Pukers and Rodgers goes to Raiders, the Raiders have thier QB and are probably open to the best player available (heck on the board) and that is CJ.
As far as Landry, without CJ there then Gruden (who has loaded up at the QB position in FA) will probably go D.
My bet would be Landry.
As Undisputed said, moving all the way up to 1 to get CJ, not matter how big a stud he is, is suicide for the team.
You would just have to give up way to much taking away alot of picks for this year and years to follow.
Again, this is all speculation and should not be taken as truth.
Just passing the day working on my Mock based on some of the threads that are out there today. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
