) Probably not returning to the Vikings: Smoot, Napoleon Harris, Jim Kleinsasser, Jermaine Wiggins, Troy Williamson, Marcus Johnson and perhaps Darren Sharper

Why not i mean troy williamson had one bad year.
He still has a lot of upside.
Darren Sharper are you kidding me let him go? but every one else bye bye. but dont make the same mistake like last year. we let all them decent players
go an we suffered really bad.

i think that we will keep troy williamson because of his upside and i aslo think that darren sharper will stay with us. Wiggins wasnt happy with the passes he had going his way and i think he will leave. Other then that i think that the rest will leave.

I think we should keep Troy one more year.

Absolutely do not get rid of Sharper, for obvious reasons.

And keep Marcus Johnson, we moved him out of position, he was the first guard taken in the 2005 draft, and he should be playing that position. Move him back and he will succeed.

If we can sign a TE like Tony Gonzalez, then I wouldn't mind seeing Kleinsasser, or Wiggins go..

I hope Darren Sharper sticks around.. If anything else, he can still get it done..

If Williamson stays, he will end up being the 3rd WR.. Depending on who we get, he may slip even further then that..

Hopefully we can make the deal to trade Fred Smoot for Jerry Porter.. If that doesn't happen, Smoot will most likely be gone anyways..

I'm up in the air on Marcus Johnson.. If he stays, he will more then likely be a backup next season.. I see us getting stronger on the right side of the line.. Artis Hicks may be gone as well...

i dont see any big loss there. Maybe Marcus and Troy should stay their young right?

I wonder if the Tony Richardson connection to KC could possibly help land Gonzalez?

Well that is just g@y that Napoleon and Sharper might be leaving. Sharper is just a stud and Napoleon is really solid at linebacker.

Unfortunately teams lose good players when a team had a bad year and underachieves.

I would keep Wiggins, even if we get a better TE.

One more rule of PP.O netiquette....you don't need to put "Tell me what you think" or "Please respond" on your threads. They will get read and responded to no matter what.

Who did we lose last year that made us suffer? Our offense was basically the same (minus K-Rob who was released for obvious reasons) and our defense was vastly improved (the only big loss being Brian Williams).

As far as the players not returning, I wouldn't cry if any of them were gone. I think that Blue is an adequate replacement for Sharper and I would like to see him get on the field. With that said, I still want to see Sharper out there next year. If anything, I'd like to see Sharper moved back to FS and see Blue at SS.

I think Williamson has had enough chances to get it done and he hasn't, but I wouldn't mind seeing him for one more year. You never know what could happen to a guy from year to year and who knows, maybe he'll work on his hands this offseason and improve.

The rest of them...meh. I love Wiggy and Napo, but I don't think they fit what The Chiller is trying to do. I say if they go and Childress gets the guys he wants, more power to him.
