3 open camp on PUP

Defensive end Erasmus James, who is coming off two knee surgeries, will open training camp on the physically unable to perform list, coach Brad Childress said today.
Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie and wide receiver Billy McMullen also were placed on PUP because of muscle strains to what Childress called "their lower extremities."
Lowe extremities? What McKinnie has some long term effects from the boat party?

Re: 3 open camp on PUP
On another note, I must say that the biggest disapointment to me when it comes to 1st round draft picks is Erasmus James.
he's accomplished nothing in the NFL as of yet besides getting injured over and over and making some dumb ass judgement call type plays.
I beleive the guy has a ton of upside but it does nobody any good if all he does is watch from the sidelines with his leg in a brace.

I understand where you're coming from but don't you think that is a bit harsh? I mean I'm sure the guy wants to play and prove his worth, he just hasn't been able to because of injuries. I loved the Erasmus pick. However...He slipped all the way to #24 (I think it was) when he should have been in the top 10. No one wanted him because of his past injuries. Tice knew what he was getting.
I still have faith in the guy though.

Re: 3 open camp on PUP
I'm sure all 3 will be ready to play by opening day.
And except for James, I'm sure W and M will be on the field soon enough..

Yet.
Coaches can move players in and out of the PUP list at will at this point in the season.
It's just another way of shuffling players around.

Man I hope that Mckinney's injury doesn't keep him out. Hicks is not the answer at left tackle. Just rest up big fella' we need you.
