I was thinking the same thing, but only with respect to "What will it look like next year".....

This whole "Uncapped" year has been confusing me, however, one thing I learned from someon on here, "Trades" might become a bit more prevelant between teams.

I think the 8 teams that will be restricted by the rules might go ahead and get rid of some of those valuable picks to fix roster spots that held them back this year.

For the Vikes, the Noodles decision might come into play. If he opts to stay home, will the staff go with TJ or will they make a play for Dnabb.

Iggles could get away with it cause I think Kolb is ready to go. The have a pretty deep squad and could use the extra picks to shore up things via the draft. Not to mention most of the fans will be happy to see Dnabb go for some stupid reason.

Vikes could give up a few picks and still fill depth issues via the draft like they did the year we got JA. How good a year was that to be a Vikes fan? :cheer:

Just when you think that the Patriots' reign might come to an end, they have a draft with 3 2nd rounders and an extra 1st rounder next year.

They should be able to fill a lot of needs in this one single draft. Get a good DE/OLB, a DE/DT and a CB or two in a very deep 2nd round.

    Nice work, Marrdro.

Not much work for me my friend, but thanks...... All I do is open up a spread sheet and start reading. As I gather tidbits I plug them in and then paste the info into good ole PPO.

Sure wish I could make columns on here.

I think Webby makes it hard so I can't post spreadsheets info in thier spreadsheet format......

As to the Pats. I am 100% convinced the reason why teams like the Steelers and the Pats, are at the top of the standings because they build through the draft and sprinkle in FA's were they missed in the draft.

2010 NFL Mock Draft-7 Full Rounds

I like what he did with this mock.....

    30. Minnesota Kyle Wilson CB 5'10" 190 Boise State
    62. Minnesota Tony Pike QB 6'6" 225 Cincinnati
    94. Minnesota George Selvie DE 6'4" 255 South Florida
    129. Minnesota LeGarrette Blount RB 6'2" 240 Oregon
    163. Minnesota Robert Johnson S 6'3" 190 Utah
    202. Minnesota Abe Koroma* DT 6'3" 317 Western Illinois
    241. Minnesota Chris McGaha WR 6'1" 193 Arizona State
Legarrett Blount should get some heavy responses from the site I would assume......

    Kyle Wilson, Boise State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2010): 1-2.
1/29/10: Kyle Wilson had a great Senior Bowl week, and may have emerged as the No. 3 corner in the 2010 NFL Draft. Details available in the 2010 Senior Bowl section.

1/27/10: Kyle Wilson has been drawing rave reviews for his Senior Bowl performances. Details available in the 2010 Senior Bowl section.

1/9/10: Broke up only four passes as a senior, but still qualified as an All-America Second Team member. Kyle Wilson helped lead Boise State to a national championship as a corner and a punt returner; Wilson averaged 10.6 yards per punt return.

3/7/09: If you think Kyle Wilson's 10 passes broken up and five picks are impressive, just check out his three punt returns for touchdowns and his average of 14.2.
Tony Pike, Cincinnati - Scouting Report
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 212.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.91.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.
1/31/10: Tony Pike hit a few nice throws early on, but struggled after his second drive. He didn't look like anything more than a solid backup NFL quarterback in this contest.

1/27/10: Monday wasn't the only bad day for Tony Pike; he struggled on Tuesday as well. Details available in the 2010 Senior Bowl section.

1/15/10: Tony Pike finished the year with 2,520 yards, 29 touchdowns and only six interceptions. However, his completion percentage (62.4) and YPA (7.5) were both pedestrian.

11/7/09: Not much arm strength here, but Tony Pike is a smart and accurate quarterback. He could be overdrafted in Rounds 2-3.

10/10/09: Through five games, Tony Pike has 1,493 yards, 13 touchdowns, three picks and an 8.6 YPA. Pike doesn't have an NFL arm, but he could be a Shaun Hill type. At the very worst, he'll be a very good backup.

2/4/09: Tony Pike missed some action with a broken forearm. Still, he was able to manage 2,407 yards, 19 touchdowns, 11 picks, 61.4 completion percentage and 7.4 YPA.
    George Selvie, South Florida
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 247.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.
1/22/10: Didn't get a single sack in his last five games; finished with three on the year along with nine TFL.

11/14/09: George Selvie continues to struggle, registering just three sacks in eight games in his senior year.

5/18/09: A 3-4 rush linebacker, George Selvie has slipped into the second round of my 2010 NFL Mock Draft because he had just 5.5 sacks in 2008.

1/8/09: George Selvie announced that he'll be returning for his senior season.

11/16/08: Facing countless double teams this year, it's amazing George Selvie has been able to put up 11 TFL and five sacks through eight contests.
    LeGarrette Blount, Oregon
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 245.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.
1/31/10: The character concerns are still there, but LeGarrette Blount was the most impressive running back at the Senior Bowl. He just bulldozed over helpless defenders like the 2008 version of Brandon Jacobs.

1/16/10: After that disgusting display at the end of the Boise State game, we assumed LeGarrette Blount's collegiate career was over. Well, Blount played the last two games of the season, finishing with 82 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. The Bengals and Eagles might give him a second chance.

9/12/09: I guess you can say that LeGarrette Blount knocked himself out of draft consideration. Following a dismal performance where Blount actually lost five yards on eight carries, the Oregon running back punched a Boise State player and then had to be restrained from attacking the fans. The overweight Blount was already a Round 4-5 prospect to begin with, so he's now a long shot to be drafted.

5/11/09: Suspended for missing workout sessions.

2/6/09: Was very effective with Jeremiah Johnson in the backfield. The monstrous LeGarrette Blount punished opposing defenses for 1,003 yards and 17 touchdowns, gaining 7.3 YPC in the process. Blount was not a factor in the passing game (two receptions).

7/25/08: A load at 230 pounds, LeGarrette Blount, a JUCO transfer, will receive most of the carries while Jeremiah Johnson recovers from a torn ACL.

Re:2010 Draft Order - All 7 Rounds With Trades

This draft is very deep at cornerback and I think it would be smart to draft one in the first round. I don't have a problem with Kyle Wilson but I would prefer either Akwasi Owusu-Ansah or Iowa's Amari Spievey. Don't put much stock in pre-draft rankings other than as a generalization.

I would prefer Spievey because of his size, speed, and talent. Don't let his stats fool you, most Big Ten opponents avoided throwing to his side of the field.

    Thanks for the input....

Quick question. If the draft is deep, why use a first round. Why not go ahead and use your first round pick on a roster position that might not be deep, then you could get a CB with a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

As to the two cats you listed. Don't follow college ball much so I am not familiar with them, but, I will definately take a look at them.

Re:2010 Draft Order - All 7 Rounds With Trades

Not much out there on the sites that I visit, however, the main site I work from at this time of the year has them at 11 and 13.

    Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Indiana of Pennsylvania
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 205.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.43.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.
1/9/10: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah's first name aptly means "born on Sunday." AOA averaged 29.7 yards on kickoffs and 12.5 yards on punt returns with five special-teams touchdowns.

    Amari Spievey, Iowa
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2010): 3-4.
1/12/10: Amari Spievey has declared for the 2010 NFL Draft. Spievey is a talented corner who had two interceptions in 2009, but has declared into a pretty deep cornerbacking class. He could be lost in the mix as a mid-round prospect depending on how he fares at the Combine.
    Walter Football CB

I do like Spievey's attitude though.

    NFL Draft Prospect: Amari Spievey

Re:2010 Draft Order - All 7 Rounds With Trades

Owusu-Ansah would give us quality depth on special teams while Spievey would give us a physical, sure-tackling CB that should be good in all phases of defense. I would take Spievey this high because 1) we need help at DB and 2) to snap him up before the Patriots do.
