I like the sauce as well, but our TE/FB positions are so crowded that I think someone has to bite the bullet. Why was it Dugan getting carries on 3rd and 1? Move Sauce back there and have him do it, or put Dugan on the line to block. In the end I wouldn't mind if he stays, but he is expendable.

What we have behind Birk and Sharper are questions marks and that scares me. I would rather work those guys in slowly than give them the fire treatment and hope they work out.

I think letting Johnson go and getting a different solid backup for our tackles might not be a bad call. Johnson was a second backup to Hicks anyways.

I suggesting letting a DT go to make room for a young guy who'll eventually replace Pat.

I can't support any player who's primary role was ST coverage this year. That's why I say buh bye Dontarrious. It makes me upset that Erin and Rufus didn't make the squad. LB will look nice with Leber, Greenway, EJ, Harris, Farwell, and a another that could be Erin, Rufus, or heck even a new rookie.
We do not have Rufus Alexander anymore.
He was signed off our practice squad by another team awhile ago.

his promise is gone,
he's not getting any better at his age, but he's still very important to us, his blocking skill is very good, which is important because our line's isn't.

Matt Birk should be done, time for him to go to a chihuahua ranch in Mexico.

RFA
DT Fred Evans - Keep. Did alright for a guy filling a Williams spot. Has some upside still young, could be what we need when Pat stops in a year or two. (After our Super Bowl win

CB Charles Gordon
- Keep. Did good as nickel. Young still so plenty of upside. Let's not use him as PR..

DE Otis Grigsby - Let go. I believe we need a low pick DE and therefore cutting one. Grigsby goes.

DE Jayme Mitchell - Keep. Udeze will be back. That could be the death to Mitchell but I think he could be good as Udezes back-up

FB Naufahu Tahi - Keep. Young, still need to work on his assignments. We could use a FB like that kid from Miami. He could catch out of the backfield. Hopefully that is something Tahi can develop

UFA
C Matt Birk:
Mm if he is cheap then go ahead resign him. He does have some leadership and veteran qualities. But if O'Sullivan has shown some progress then I would be happy for him to start next season.

S Darren Sharper: I most say I think he is loosing it. Therefore if he wants big buck I would pass. If not lets keep him around

S Michael Boulware: Let go
FB Jim Kleinsasser: Sign. He can catch and unless Mills steps up i would love to see us in more two TE singleback formation. Really good for stretch plays and PA boots.

MLB Napolean Harris: Let go
He did step in for EJ but I believe we need some young talent behind him. A late round pick would fill good.

LB Heath Farwell- SIGN!
Holy crap we need some ST players!

LB Dontarrious Thomas - Let go
I believe we need some more guys for ST and LBs should fill. Believe we can get some better.

DT Kendrick Allen - Let go

DT Jimmy Kennedy - Keep
He was a 1 rounder. If we can find that talent he could be a nice NT. If the coaches don't believe in him let go.
DT Ellis Wyms Let go
OT Marcus Johnson let go
CB Benny Sapp keep

Thank to Lotza

Vikings look forward after one last look back

Coach Brad Childress will return, but which players? Twelve will be unrestricted free agents, including Matt Birk and Darren Sharper.

He'll have to move into an authentic chihuahua ranch, the ones where they inject the rabies virus into the pups and have them attack all visitors.

Doesn't Ron Mexico have to do 100 hours of community service there as part of his plea agreement?

We are going to have to resign or lose quite a few starters after next year. How many do you think they will try to redo this year to tie them up and try to save money?

Keep in blue, let go in red. A lot changes in a year of course.

People who don't like the old vets are going to want to say bye to Birk, Sharper, Winfield, and Taylor in the next two years. LMAO.
