Thread: 2008 Viking First Round Mock Draft (Actual possible choices)

DRC for me. With Winfield gettin up there...we could use one more all around corner like him. Yes we have McCauley and Griffen but DRC could potentially be a shut down type corner at the next level.

Best available O lineman.
We need to keep the QB protected and create holes for AD.
We have some current and possible future issues on the O line.......I hope Chris Williams is still there at 17.

i still think we should trade up to get him, but with phat pat's replacement, id like to get a DT in the 2nd/3rd round, someone like Trevor Laws or Dre Moore, i really like Laws, suppose to be a 2nd rounder, but i think we might look at OT that round if we go DE in the 1st, kinda saddens me lol

campbell looks like huge hit or miss guy, and right now it looks like a miss, if he got his head on right and worked out and stayed in shape id say hell yes in the 2nd rd, but lately i have been seeing him slip to the 3rd rd.

I think a lot of people are trying to devalue his stock. The best thing about him is his size. At 6'8 290..He can move inside on 3rd down and allow us to run somthing like this

Has the guy ever lined up as a DT?
Not that easy to switch technique as some might think.
KWill is a rare exception to that rule.

yeah his size, he originally was 6'8 280, now hr gained 10lbs in the offseason, ill pass

We as Vikings fans have a responsibility to make the right choice whether management does or not.

I went with Williams as that 2 Jun 08 court date is starting to loom large.

They will take the best Zone Blocking OT at 17 and then take Langford and Robertson in the later rounds to fix our DE issues (Note the s).

Who would you draft as GM?

I hope they draft whoever is going to give them the best play of any player available. It id the FO's job to evaluate the players and select the proper players.

My job as a fan is to celebrate their correct choices and bitch about the ones they screw up ;D
