The Vikings got Tapeh this year and will probably use him as their starting fullback, but is he the answer? I've heard that he's injury prone.
Maybe the Vikings should draft a FB in the 2008 draft...
I think we can all agree that the top three fullbacks in the draft is Owen Schmitt, Peyton Hillis, and Jacob Hester, but who would you pick, and in which round of the draft are you willing to take him?

Owen Schmitt: 6-2, 260, West Virginia

    Jacob Hester: 5-11, 230, LSU

    Peyton Hillis: 6-1, 245, Arkansas

Schmitt would be great...... he plays as hard as anybody in the draft.

    Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Schmitt's a beast, one of, if not my favorite player in the draft.

I think that the fullback position got adressed with Tapeh, he is only 27 and we have both Tahi and Dugan behind him..

If we havent picked him up i liked Hester because of his pass catching and hustling ability.

A lot of people like Schmitt because of his heart for the game however i think Peyton Hillis is getting overlooked everywhere..

Of the 3 i think he will be the best pro... Just the gut feeling

Jacob Hester is better with the ball than Scmitt, he's better at running with it and WAY better at catching it. I would say he's the best receiving fullback in college.
The negatives is that he's not fast enough to be an everydown RB and lacks ideal size as FB, but he's very versatile. He's a good special team tackler and he's a team player and always gives a 100 %
He actually reminds me of Brian Leonard in many ways.
Here's a small video about Jacob Hester:

To bad we didn't pick a fullback in the draft. I'm not exactly satisfied with our current situation. Tapeh, who (almost) everybody had high hopes for, is now benched.
