footballs future's scouting comments in the FA section are an embarrasment. 2 of the top free angents in this years class (Kris Dielman and Daniel Graham) are left as footnotes as Max Starks and Eric Johnson grab the headlines.
graham is the premier blocking TE in the league and he's very underrrated as a receiver. i love him on the pats and would love to have him on the vikes.
Graham is so good at blocking that the Pats has used him in that situation the most in the past couple of years. However if you think back to the pre-Ben Watson time he were catching passes all over the field.

One thing I don't know about is how fast he is, that should be a factor for the Vikings.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

he's a lot better now than he was pre-Watson. I'd argue that back then he was actually below average as a receiving tight end. His speed certainly isn't his strong point but it definetely isn't a liability and I think he would be very good here.

browns not the answer for a team w/ major receiver concerns. he's excellent on a team with many receivers where he can be the four or five and see limited action. the guy's the ultimate gamer but you don't want to have to depend on him to make 80 catches for you.

It says Napo is the only "4 star"?
    Is he worth keeping?

I think so, but at what price?
The free agent LBs crop this year is pretty thin, especially since the Bears slapped Briggs with the franchise tag.
This situation leaves Napoleon sitting pretty in terms of getting a good deal in the FA market.
He would be stupid not to at least test the market.
I expect that some team will overpay for him and that we wont be able to make a competitive offer given our limited cap space.

I believe he was the Stribs list of FA that will be gone (whatever that means :). I don't think the Vikes will pay to keep him. The money teams have to spend this year is more than almost any previous FA year. Vikes will move EJ and bring Greenway on the WS this year.

Napo is almost certainley not going to be a Viking next year. With them extending EJs contract. Signing Leber last year to a decent one and drafting Greenway I see no room for Napo. I believe they are going to move EJ back to the middle, keep Leber starting at strongside, and have Greenway starting on the weakside. They also have DT who can pretty much back up any of the positions.
