If we can and are at somewhere between 10-15, I would love to see us get him in the draft.
(Ultra, you know you would, too) He's got amazing speed, elusiveness, and here's the best part, he catches the freakin' ball!
    Sounds like Peter Warrick!

    =Z=
    Peter Warrick?
I'll give you the guy was a stud and had a lot of potential, but look at OSU receivers and what they've produced over the years:

    Cris Carter
    Terry Glenn
    Joey Galloway
David Boston (ok, not so much anymore, but was a beast for a couple years)
Santonio Holmes (having solid rookie year, stepping up for injured Hines Ward)
Michael Jenkins (not great #'s, but has 7 TD's this year)

Of course nothing's guaranteed, but to get a guy that will be as productive as Glenn or Galloway has been throughout their careers would be awesome.
I know there's some studs to come out of Fla St, too, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Also, sad to say, but if we'd signed Peter Warrick in FA this season, it actually would have been an upgrade at WR.

I've said it elsewhere - in terms of Ohio State receivers, I'd rather have Anthony Gonzalez.

I'd like either, or even both, but I think Ginn's got the edge because of his return skills.
I wonder how low Gonzalez will fall.
That would be an awesome 2nd round pick.

    Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order

OK, as AWZ correctly pointed out, my algorithm was slightly off when I first made this post.
I was taking into account the very last game, but not every game of every opponent with my draft order scenarios.

I fixed the algorithm (thanks AWZ!) and I can now say with 98% certainty that the best pick the Vikings could have next year is the 5th pick, and the worst is the 13th pick.

    Here are the scenarios:
    Minnesota Loses:

Best Case Scenario - Arizona, Houston, and Washington all win, and at least two of the following lose: Carolina, Detroit, New England, Jets, Seattle, Bills, Miami, or San Fran.

    Minnesota gets the #5 pick
    4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-12 (138)
    5 Minnesota Vikings 6-10 (126)
    6 Arizona Cardinals 6-10 (128)
    7 Houston Texans 6-10 (129)
    8 Washington Redskins 6-10 (129)
    9 Carolina Panthers 7-9 (124)

Worst case scenario - Arizona, Houston, and Washington also lose.
    Minnesota gets the #8 pick.
    7 Cleveland Browns 5-11 (135)
    8 Minnesota Vikings 6-10 (124)
    9 San Francisco 49ers 6-10 (130)
    10 Miami Dolphins 6-10 (139)
    11 Atlanta Falcons 7-9 (119)
    Minnesota Wins:

Best Case Scenario - So do all the other 6-9 and 7-8 teams.

    Minnesota gets the 9th pick
    7 Arizona Cardinals 6-10 (125)
    8 St. Louis Rams 7-9 (118)
    9 Minnesota Vikings 7-9 (122)
    10 San Francisco 49ers 7-9 (124)
    11 Pittsburgh Steelers 7-9 (130)
    12 Miami Dolphins 7-9 (135)
    13 Seattle Seahawks 8-8 (116)

Worst Case scenario - Atlanta and the Panthers also lose, Houston beats Cleveland, and Minnesota loses the coin flip to Carolina.

    Minnesota gets the 13th pick.
    9 Miami Dolphins 6-10 (139)
    10 Atlanta Falcons 7-9 (119)
    11 St. Louis Rams 7-9 (119)
    12 Carolina Panthers 7-9 (123)
    13 Minnesota Vikings 7-9 (123)
    14 Pittsburgh Steelers 7-9 (130)
    15 Green Bay Packers 7-9 (131)
    16 New York Giants 7-9 (136)
    17 Buffalo Bills 7-9 (148)
    18 Jacksonville Jaguars 8-8 (135)
Either way we are in good shape for the draft, although it would be nice to get a top ten pick, or even a top five pick.
Minnesota's draft order will be determined after the afternoon game (the GB - Bears game doesn't make a difference), so I will post it once we know...

If we end up the 5th pick I hope we use it towards defense.
I still feel the Vikes could really get a good WR is the 2nd round.
I think Childress is a lot better than Tice in the draft. I still have faith in Childress.
I think the media is out to get him because Tice was a media favorite.

    Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order

It looks like we'll be getting the 6th or 7th pick since the Cardinals will not beat the Chargers and it is entirely possible the Giants will beat the Redskins no matter how poorly the Gmen have been playing.
