Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order
Where is Troy Smith projected? Not saying TJ is bad, but dunno if you should pass on that kind of opportunity. I still say we draft an o-lineman to fix the right side. A rookie wide reciever will most likely not improve this team as much as an o-lineman would.
Wait, if there's cat food in this bag............................

Nice to know about where we sit before the draft - so we can all speculate!

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order
if we end up with a top 10 pick, i could even see the vikings trading down, getting an additional 2nd and a late 1st for a top 10, mabye even a player too, then they can rely on FA and trades to get recievers and oline

Great post. I think we should pick up Larry Fitzgerald as a FA and use the draft pick on something else... What that is, I dont know... Any thoughts?

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order
Will make for some interesting discussions over the next few months. Given that we drafted TWill at #7 how many people are not going to want to draft a WR that high again ?
Out of curiosity, here's what some of the draft sites have - course the final draft order is not set but here's some ideas from them - any problems then tell them !

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order
I just don't see the Vikes drafting a WR in the first round.
A skill player usually takes a couple of years to develop, and we need help at WR right now.
BTW, I wrote a little computer program to generate the draft order.
I'll post the draft order for all non-playoff teams as soon as the last game is played on Sunday.
My prediction is that the Vikes will end up with the number 8 pick...Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Order
I saw a projection that had Ginn going at approx. #14.
If we can and are at somewhere between 10-15, I would love to see us get him in the draft.
(Ultra, you know you would, too) He's got amazing speed, elusiveness, and here's the best part, he catches the freakin' ball!
Also could double on punts or kickoffs.
I kind of like Mewelde as a punt returner, but he does some stupid stuff from time to time.
