Re: Who DOESN'T Want Him For Linebacker?

"Ernie Sims, outside linebacker from Florida State. I see him listed as the fourth- or fifth-best linebacker on some charts. He's a lot better than that. An undersized guy with tremendous athletic ability."

Re: Who DOESN'T Want Him For Linebacker?

    Comparing Sims and Greenway...
    Ernie Sims
    OLB | (5'11", 231, 4.54)
    Chad Greenway
    OLB | (6'2", 242, 4.78)
Sims is shorter by 3" difference it looks like they may have about the same amount of body mass. With Sims a bit lower to the ground he presents less of a blocking target and Sim's speed is much faster. As someone else said "Speed" is the name of the game in the cover two and so on paper he looks better than Greenway.

Ernie Sims all the way, best LB from the gate and experts are saying vikings will pick the first Linebacker of the draft. Meaning a lot of hopes for Sims.
what experts are saying that? hawk should be the first LB off the board and he'll be gone no later than pick 6 or 7 probably. the only way we end up taking the first LB in the draft is if we trade up to do so....

I don't know, for me its a toss up between Chad Greenway and Ernie Sims!!! They are both great players!!! I just think Chad Greenway is used to playing an alot tougher conference unlike Sims who played teams like Duke and UNC and BC!!! Good Basketball teams just not good football teams!!!

    I'd rather have Greenway.

    Bigger, Better at coverage.
