Thread: Vikings Sacks!

STACKS OF SACKS – Lance Johnstone and Kevin Williams are tied for the team lead with 10.0 sacks each and are tied with Indianapolis’ tandem of Freeney/Mathis as the only players in the NFL with 10+ sacks each. Johnstone and Williams are the 1st Vikings tandem to post 10+ sacks in consecutive seasons since Chris Doleman and John Randle in 1992-93. With 3 games remaining, the team can top the 2003 sack total of 37.0.

Our D-line is looking pretty solid. They should only get better and better as they are young and will gain experience.

Now if we could only get our LB's playing well and our secondary to come together. I have faith the players will mould into Ted Cottrell's schemes and we will be much better! It all starts with the D-line though, and we are looking very solid there this season.

If we can get one or two more impact players next year on defense (either via the draft or FA), the Vikes could be a prohibitive favorite to win it all next year...especially if they can somehow ratchet it up a few notches for the playoffs this year and sweep through the playoffs to the Super Bowl (hey, I can dream, can't I?).

IF he is still on the board, he is a no-brainer...if the Viking braintrust passes on the chance to grab him next draft, they ALL deserve to be fired!
