" PP.O's Who are they really? " 20 Questions with jkjuggalo...

PP.O name: jkjuggalo
Real name: Jeremiah Keeney, thus the "jk"
Age: 27
Current City: Fairbanks, AK aka "The 'Banks"
Hometown: Born in Michigan, but raised here in Alaska
Occupation: Student/Manager of Service and Towing Station

1) How did you choose your screen name?

Back in high school I was trying to find an alliterative term to match up with my initials.
ICP was popular at the time and I thought the word "juggalo" was funny, so I tacked my initials onto it.

2) jkjuggalo, could you tell us a little about where you grew up and about your family?

The interior Alaskan town of Fairbanks has grown to a town of almost 100,000 people.
It is the second biggest city in Alaska behind Anchorage.

As I get older the less I want to stay here during the winter, when the temperatures often dip below -40 degrees and we only get .
The summers are a whole different story.
There a couple of months where you get over 20 hours of sunlight.
I play golf at midnight when you almost have the course to yourself.
Camping/fishing is fun too because you can stay up to the wee hours of the morning without ever fully losing light.

I have been married for just under 3 years to my beautiful wife Sharae

I have a younger brother and an older sister.

3) What type of student were you in High School? Did you play in any sports or where you involved with any school clubs and such?

I was voted biggest skipper my senior year, so apparently I didn't like going to school that much.
I had a lot of fun with my friends those years, and manage to graduate with a 2.7 with very minimal effort.
Sadly I never went out for sports because I had to work to pay for my car and my insurance and my social life.
I went out for basketball my senior year but got cut during the first day warmups because they had to give the seniors that had been playing their whole careers roster spot.
It didn't make sense to me, but it was no sweat off my sack.
Our football team and coach were horrible, so I never went out for football either.

4) What did you do after High School?

I went to the local University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and a month into it I did a full withdrawal.
So I decided to start working full time at Ron's Service and Towing as a gas jockey.
I advanced to supervisor and was in and out of college through the next several years.
Now I am in my last semester of school and I'm going to be an elementary school teacher soon.

5)What was your first job?

I was a paper boy.
That sucks getting up at six in the morning to go deliver papers at negative temperatures.
Then you only end up making like 150 bucks a month.
I would rather work in a sweatshop.

6) When did you decide to be such a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings?

I played football every day at recess in grade school.
My favorite players were Anthony Carter and Joey Browner because I always played WR and S.
When Tecmo Bowl came out I used the Vikings more than any other team, and then I started following them more than any other team.
Once they added Cris Carter to the roster, it was all over for me.
I have been a loyal fan since about the 4th grade.

7) Could you tell us one of your favorite memories that has to do with the Vikings or one of its past or present players, coaches, etc.

It has to be Adrian breaking the rushing record.
That boy is a phenom and I can't wait to see what he can do in his second season.

8}How did you come to find PP.O and what attracted you most to the site?

I just searched for Vikings info and stumbled across a site that suspiciously sounded like a gay pride site.

My friends give me grief for the name of this site.
I logged on a few years ago, but for the longest time it wouldn't let me log back on.
I thought maybe I pissed off one of the big wigs, but I think it was a computer error.
Webby finally got me straightened out, and my wife has suffered ever since.

9) What other sports teams do you follow?

I got into the Twins because of Kirby Puckett,

but I still kind of follow them.
The season is too long for me, otherwise I might care more.

I also have always secretly rooted for the Browns as my favorite AFC team, but I don't follow them nearly as much as the Vikes.

For basketball I just root for good games and the players I like, i.e. Garnett, Lebron, Chris Paul, etc.

I also watch Alaska Nanook hockey and basketball.

My college team for everything else in Michigan State because I was born in Lansing.

10) When you’re not on PPO what could you likely be found doing with your spare time?

Doing homework or watching/playing sports.
I occasionally play sports video games.
Otherwise I'm spending time with the wife and my friends.
During the summer I camp, ride my mountain bike, and go hiking.

11) Do you say a special prayer before Vikings games?

I pray that I don't have an aneurism.

12)Where do you watch away Vikings games?

I watch all the games at a local sportsbar.
It is a dive, but there are only two options in town, and the other place is full of boring casual fans.

13)What is your worst fear?

Having my intestines fall out of my ass while pooping.
That and failure.

14) What type of hobbies do you enjoy?

Playing poker is a big one.

I also like playing basketball, camping, biking, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, sledding, and an assortment of other random things.

15) What’s your favorite food?

I love homemade Mexican food because the veges are so fresh and everything is seasoned the way I like it.

16) Where are some of the places you’ve been, and where are some of your favorites.

Hawaii, Vegas, Cabo San Lucas, Salt Lake City, San Diego/SoCal, and Michigan.
Never been to Minnesota, which is one of the reasons people are baffled when I say I'm a Vikings fan.
I always say "You don't expect me to root for the Lions, do you?"

17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?

Win the lottery.
That, and choke a ho.

18)If you could live anywhere where would it be?

The island of Kauai during the winter, and here in Alaska for the summers.
I'm getting my teaching degree soon, so that may be a possibility someday.

19) Do you believe the Vikings will have their big day someday? When they do win the Super Bowl, what will be the first thing you think you will do?

They will have their day before I die, but I don't know when.
I think we are on the right track.
This draft and subsequent season is going to tell me a lot about the direction this team is headed.

20
) Up to this date, what is one of your favorite PPO memories?

Besides the "Girls in T-Shirts" thread?

I would say the day I opened up PP.O and saw the Vikes signed Bernard Berrian.
I think he is going to have a major impact on our team.
Skol, and GO Vikings!!!

Thanks JK, that was nice read.
Glad to know a little about you.
I lived up in Alaska for a year....whene I was in the 2nd grade (long, long time ago).
I remember going to school with a flashlight and coming home with a flashlight.
Not much daylight in the winter. I also remember hanging blankets over the windows in the summer so we could sleep.

Awesome stuff... I don't know if I'd want to stay in Alaska much longer either, but I bet it's an awesome experience.

I am often questioned when I say i visit a site called "Purple Pride".... I definitely get "The Look"
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I think that is the former (or maybe still current) world record.
I've never caught anything remotely close to that big.
The biggest fish I've caught would be a silver salmon (about 1/16 the size of that monster).

Yeah, I get used to the light change pretty fast.
I take advantage of it as much as possible, pissing of my neighbors mowing the lawn at 11p.m., but hey, they have a baby screaming every morning at 5 a.m., so I declare a wash.

It was always weird going to school when it was dark and then getting out of school when it was dark.
The thing that always pissed me off more than anything else was having my Halloween costume ruined because we'd have to wear a snowsuit over it. :-[

Thanks.
I love Alaska and it is definitely home for me, but I do want to explore other parts of the country.
With heating oil costing as much or more than my mortgage during the winter, I'm thinking exploration should come sooner rather than later.
