I am very impressed my friend.17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?
Earn my private pilots license.
That will happen within the next few years.
My stepfather owned a 1946 Aeronca Chief before he met and married my mother.
I saw an old picture of him with his plane and always thought it would be great to fly.
He sold the plane around the time I was born, but when his health started failing a few years ago I did some snooping vai the FAA and Canadian MOT.
The aircraft was still registered and flying in BC, Canada!
I told him this before he passed on and this seemed to please him.
My brother, a NWA pilot and I plan on buying the plane and bringing her home.
Guess I'll have to learn how to fly the darn thing, huh?!?!
Very impressed indeed.
Again, thanks for sharing.
;D
Hopefully some day we'll meet at a PP.O tailgating session and exchange war stories.

You are absolutely correct Singer.Very nice read PacNWV. I can relate to this..........
About 5 years ago Winona, MN had a grand opening for a new Menards store that was put up. Their big draw was Bud Grant who was their to sign autographs & sell some of his paintings. I stood in line & got his autograph on an 8x10 photo he handed out & also on a mini helmet I brought along. As my brother and I looked at the various items in the display cases Bud Grant came walking out and chatted with her for a few moments.
He hung around for a while and then went back to the rear offices.
I was so stunned and awed by his presence, I didn't go forward to introduce myself!
I've regretted that to this day...
Even though he was much older & a little slower than what we're used to seeing on the sidelines, he gives off an incredible aura of greatness that you could literally feel. You can't help but stand there & be stunned & in awe by his presence when that aura envelops you. You just can't.
Bud Grant has an aura that is hard to explain until your are in his presence.
I was "star struck."

Good stuff PNW, look forward to meeting you someday.
I also enjoy the Philippines, lived there for three years and make occasional trips to visit friends there.
I'll volunteer to go on a suicide mission with you and fly across the Pacific in a small crappy plane with you when you get your pilot's license.
A surreal trip across the largest ocean listening to Floyd and landing on a rice terrace in Banawe.
Sounds like a good trip.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain
