About a month after I bought my car(04 celica) I got pulled over for the window tint. Sure wish the dealer would have told me it was illegal in MN. Oh well it looks sweet, and I got off with a warning.
You can actually sue the place you bought it form for 1.) Selling a car with illegally tinted windows and 2.) Not telling you about it...

Or you could just pay your fine and forget about it. How much was the ticket?

He got off with a warning..
    How do you know that?
Because you said so in your earlier post.

lame, I got $250 for going 121 in a 90... took it to court and got it dropped though
My best ticket was in Winnebago,Mn in 1987 with the same car. 99 in a 55- The radar only had 2 digits ;D
I still have that one somewhere in my scrap book.

It appears that I skew the statistics.
Since I drive a suburban and it is one of the vehicles that doesn't get pulled over much and I get pulled over routinely I may have to move into another vehicle.

Re: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?

My last car was an 03 Ford Tauras. Part of the reason I bought the car was because I figured I would never get pulled over(and I couldn't afford the car I really wanted). Leaving the dealership and driving about 30 miles to my buddies house I saw 3 ford taurus cars pulled over. I never got pulled over in that car but it was probably because I drove like a grandma in it, I drive faster in the car I have now.

If I can remember correctly bloodyhorns got pulled over one time in his red firebird(or maybe it was the camaro) because "the car wasn't registered in his name". How would the cop know who was driving and who was registered before he pulled him over? Maybe bloodyhorns can elaborate.

    Ha!
    I forgot about that.
That was in the Camaro at 1:00AM on a Saturday night - Had a few cocktails and other substances in my body.
I was 18 years old and stupid.
Still don't know how I got out of that with nothing...especially since I noticeably slurred my speech on at least 2 occasions during our conversation.
I'm thinking it may have had something to do with the fact that the cop had absolutely no reason to pull me over.
He also over emphasized the word "safe" when stating "You boys have a SAFE night, drive careful".

He asked me why my eyes were so red...I said it was really smokey in the strip club we were at.
In reality we were at a frat party, but I figured saying we were at a strip club sounded more honest.
I said it all sheepishly too, as if I were embarrassed to be in a strip club.
Getting away scott free that night makes up for the other couple times where I got totally F'd over and spend time in jail over nothing.
I guess it all equals out in the end.
