    Exactly dude.
    I don't go into all the different forums and stuff. I simply don't usually have time, as I'm sure a lot of people don't.
    I go by the top ten threads and when I see the same thread title of the thread I read yesterday that I had no interest, I'm not checking it out.

    Problem is, some useful Viking information can easily get lost in threads by people cramming as much crap in them as possible.
    When I first go to this site I remember see a new topic for almost every new thread... those were the days.
    You come on the site and you're gone in 10 min. without trouble.

    If you're only following the top 10, then you may be missing a lot. Also I'm sure you two aren't the only ones.

    Because people are only looking at the top 10, a lot of duplicate articles get posted.

    You do not need to do a "full search" or even look in each forum for topics. At the top of your page, above the posts & next to your avatar (not the avatar on the right) there are two key links & a very useful tool;

    Show unread posts since last visit.

    Show new replies to your posts.

    Clicking the 1st one will give you a list of all threads you have not replied to, new or old (sans the Two Beer Minimum forum.

    Clicking the 2nd one will give you a list of all threads you have replied to, new or old.

    The thread will disappear from the list once you view it & won't reappear until there is another reply. If you don't want to look at any of the threads in the list, simply clicki the "Mark All Messages As Read" tab & they will all be cleared from the list.

    I use it 99% of the time. Even moreso than the top 10 list.

    It's just that gol 'darnit usefull!

    It's a very quick way to look at a list of all the threads out there.

    I do not even know what the Top 10 has to do with this.
    Thread was locked and politics = not here.

    Over the past month or so I've been just dying to make this thread but I held it back out of the kindness of my heart.
    It took a great level of maturity for me to fight the urge this long but I guess everytime you bottle something up, it eventually boils over.

    I'm sure this thread will be locked in a matter of second upon its post...if not deleted but here goes.

    Apparently some of the mods on here have decided that if two seperate topics are REMOTELY related to each other, a merge must be made.
    This is annoying because for
    example, they'll be a thread titled, "Vikings making upgrades."
    Well, over the next week or so, everytime the Vikings add someone or change something... it's going in that thread.
    That makes it a blast to find articles hidden on page 5 of threads.
    I know there's people like me out there that don't like spending every bit of their time looking through every page of every thread on this site(don't get me wrong, I love this site).

    Now about 10 min. ago or so, I made a thread about lies by the government.
    I had sources, and a strong arguement to boot but before I could get one interesting response, BAM... lockdown city.
    WTF?!

    Whatever... I'm going to cut it off at that... I'm getting frustrated.
    I might say something I'll regret in a few hours.
    Peace.
    Politics = no.

    Religion = no.

    Long standing rules.
    Politics = lock city in most cases.

    It's nice to see a pissed off leprachaun
    ;D.
    I guess a thread called 'Vikings making upgrades' with a bunch of posts within the thread about the upgrades they are making is better than 20 individual threads spread over 7 pages.
    If you're pressed for time and are interested in that topic you stop by one thread and you're done and on your way.

    The problem with merging some threads, like you stated, is it's a matter of opinion.
    And, with 6500+ members there will never be a time that people will agree on the matter.
    The mods just have to make a judgement call and go with it.
    Personally, I think the mods do a helluva job keeping things as tidy as possible around here.

    If you want pure chaos, tell the moderators to not do their jobs.
    The forum section of the site would take a nosedive.

    That is what happened to Jim Rome's message board...it devolved into a mess of bukkake pictures and worse!
