Sorry to hear that.
Really sucks...
yep let my kids down again seems like that all i do. Pretty worthless person i am cant keep a job at wally world been there 5 yrs
Walmart doesn't care about people that much, just the bottom line profit.
Your kids will understand (maybe not right away).
It will work out.
Maybe a door to new opportunity! ;)
I talked with a woman today at Wal-Mart and she says people are being laid off because of the minimum wage increase. Just think -- 3 million employees. That means a $1 minimum wage increase means $3 million per hour more in payroll. That's a big pill to swallow. And someone else on here was right, their primary job is to show a profit for the stockholders. The employees always come in second.

You'll rebound and find a different job that you probably enjoy a lot more.
It's just a job, and it's just money.
Your loved ones are OK and that is what is most important.
Plus you worked there 5 years, so apparently you can hold a job.
;)
I'm pretty sure that is much longer than your average person works for one company.
Congrats to five years!
Congrats to new and exciting future endeavors!
That is just an opportunity to get a job you didn't have the time to find when you were working there. It may well be the best thing that ever happened to you.
You are better than Wal-Mart. Fuck them!
I worked for Wal-Mart for 3 years.
You are better off not being there.

While that is true, Christie stated she was "fired", not let go or laid off.Quote:

With that said, my question would be, "What did you get fired for?"
I hate to sound harsh, but when people get fired, it is typically the employees fault, not the companies. If they fired you for no reason, then you would have grounds for a lawsuit.
With that said, why are people blaming Wal-Mart for firing, not laying off, an employee?
